It's a great mix of pools, slides, lazy river, river rapids, marine life and beautiful grounds. Waits on lines were bad on days more than one cruise ship was in. Must get out early for chairs and go to lunch before noon so as not to wait on lines for 45 mins or more for your lunch. Unfortunately the conveyor belt for the river rapids that brings you to a big slide was broken our entire visit. We were told every day "maybe it will be fixed tomorrow."
Planned a day at the Aquaventure park instead of an excursion, such a great plan. Most exciting water slides, with options for everyone and best lazy river ever. Long food lines, but delicious burgers worth the wait. Also, good frozen pina coladas at the bar.
We are in the midst of our Spring Break getaway.Love Atlantis.Lots to do and see,BUT if you are planning to do the Aquaventure or just spend time in the sun get a cabana! It will give you space, some privacy, your own wait staff to help make you comfortable. The number of people we heard passing by our cabana and saying."Oh we should have thought of that!"....was astonishing! Plan ahead and book before you get there. They have a limited number and they go fast.It is well worth it!
Stayed at Comfort Suites that give you use of Atlantis. Aqua venture was great. We loved the water rides especially the Rapid River.
Aquaventure is a THRILL!!! It is certainly a half to full day experience and a must if you have kids. If you're staying at Atlantis this is easily the best FREE perk. If you're not then you can purchase a day pass to come and enjoy.
We started off with the lazy river which we realized wasn't adventurous enough so we hit the rapid river which was wild but perfect. Then we did one of the high water slides at the Mayan Temple. This is the landmark that you see in all the commercials. It's a bit scary but well worth it. AMAZING!!!
From the rapids to the water tubes to the slides to the marine habitat to the shark feeding and all of the scenery Aquaventure presents a thrilling experience for people of all ages.
We highly recommend spending at least half a day taking in all of the excitement. You won't forget it! ;)
Went to Aquaventure waterpark with a day pass yesterday. It’s a beautiful place with cool rides, but it is overcrowded and hard to get your money’s worth by riding several rides. We ended up spending a lot of time in a chair on cove beach. This was nice but I guess we should have just bought the day pass for the beaches! We bought 3 beers and 1 mojito and it was $50 😳. So good and drinks are high! Couple tips- get there early and put towels on a chair to save bc everyone else does too, wear or bring water shoes/flip flops to wear around park (concrete is hot), maybe eat a good breakfast before you go and a late lunch when you leave (and they take credit cards only- no cash). Next time we go to Nassau, we will most likely choose something different.
