Get away from the crowd and enjoy the less traveled Love Beach. Not much for touristy stuff to do but enjoy the beach and pay reasonable prices for drinks and food. Nirvana may not have amazing food and an amazing cocktail selection, but they are friendly, play fun island music and have a great view. You can get there easy enough by jitney or cab.

Secluded pirate beach front property. Just off of the main road, yet hidden away. Very scenic, fun, quite and gorgeous.

We arrived by ship into Nassau in the Bahamas. After walking out of the port area, we turned right or west onto Bay St, the first major street after the one that has the Straw Market on it. Proceed west to George St. You can pick up the #10A jitney that will take you to Love Beach. The #10 jitney will not go that far west. Price is $1.75 US pp. Have exact change. We were there on Sunday, and the #10A didn't seem to run very often. It was about a 45 minute drive, but there was a lot of repair and construction from the hurricane. Upon arriving at Love Beach, we saw a lot of damage. The bar Nirvana, that we were expecting, was demolished. The snorkeling wasn't good. We spoke with some people who lived there and they said the hurricane took all the sand away, but it was slowly returning. I didn't see any coral nor fish. After reading the Love Beach blog (upon my return), I'm not sure I was snorkeling in the right place.
