My husband and I had dinner here several nights during our Caneel Bay stay and enjoyed every meal. The Caribbean Gumbo was flavorful. The BBQ pork ribs were amazing and we also enjoyed the burgers. The live music on Friday night was especially enjoyable, as was dining on the terrace overlooking the harbor. Prices, all things considered, were OK.

Bar and Grill specializes in sushi and is the only restaurant you can buy sushi on St John. Most of the patrons are guests of the resort but visitors and locals alike are welcome to dine there. Although the prices for sushi and most everything else is expensive the sushi is excellent. Forego the edaname, it is not fresh but frozen. You can buy a bag of frozen edaname at the grocery store and steam it yourself. There is no warm sake and the cold sake is $16 for a small bottle. That being said, the sushi is absolutely wonderful.

We love going here for lunch after snorkeling at Honeymoon Beach. The food is always fantastic and the drinks are even better. You can come in directly off the beach and not have to worry about dressing up. Service is great too. Highly recommend.

The sushi rolls, although ridiculously priced at $25-30 a roll - were really really good. The italian sandwiches were yummy. Drinks were unique and delicious. But the bartender was just over the top rude. Debbie was a big downer. First she didn't want to walk to get us menus and were annoyed we wanted to eat at the bar. Most bartenders want people to eat at bar but she didn't. When we asked for napkins and utensils she made a comment that we needed utensils to eat a sandwich? It was just over the top all around. Makes u want to forget a good place. She should have left the Miami attitude in Miami.
