Owner description: Virgin Islands EcoTours Night Kayak tour is the most popular night time activity and tourist attraction on St. Thomas! Priced perfectly for large and small families or romantic couples, it's a fun adventure to explore the mangrove lagoon's winding waterways and mangrove tunnels under a starlit-night. Located at St. Thomas Mangrove Lagoon, near the East End and Red Hook area, Virgin Islands Ecotours is the only east end adventure kayak company and the number one rated ecotourism business in the Virgin Islands. Paddle through the winding waterways of the Mangrove Lagoon at night and hear spooky pirate and ghost stories. Enjoy the starlit sky and the dark mangroves as you look for stingrays, tarpon, and other marine life below your kayak. From Blackbeard, Bluebeard, and Teach, prepare for a spooky experience and hear tales of shipwrecks and the eerie legends that haunt the islands to this day.

“Real nice day”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

We did the kayak, snorkel and hike with a guide named Zulu. The snorkeling was great and the guide was extremely helpful and knowledgable. It was a great mix of activities and I reccommend it highly. Worked out very well for a day trip from St. Thomas to St. John.

“Overpriced”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We took the Ecotour with a bunch of friends. We thought that It was overpriced and was expecting more activities. Basically we first did the kayaking to the national park. Our guide was briefly describing the history of the islands in the beginning. He was kayaking too fast and didn't bother to wait for all the people or stay in the middle. Hiking in the national park was okay. Later when we went to snorkeling, our guide again didnt bother to wait for all the people while snorkeling and wasn't paying attention to all of us. We also ordered the picture CD beforehand for 45 bucks. Later on , we realized that it was a waste of money. The pictures that were taken was mostly of the fishes or plants instead of us. We thought more pictures of us snorkeling would be taken. Overall, it was an average trip.

“Enjoyed every minute!”

My wife and I took the kayak, hike, and snorkel tour in Caneel Bay yesterday. It went above and beyond our expectations. We learned a lot about not just St. John but also about the other Virgin Islands as well. We also got to see things we never expected during our snorkel time. We took some great pictures of a sea turtle and a spotted eagle ray. Tyler was very knowledgeable and made absolutely sure we were safaris entire venture. We will definitely girly be passing word to our friends who plan to travel to St. John to book this trip.

“Great family activity and great guide!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We are a family of five with kids aged 17, 16 and 12 and the three hour Kayak Hike and Snorkel trip was a perfect activity for all of us. Tyler was our guide and he was fantastic - easy going, attentive to all five of us, extremely knowledgeable and interested in showing us as much as possible in the three hours - which flies by. We were lucky enough to come upon three sea turtles and a stingray, went on a gorgeous trail and learned about many plants and fruits and even some survival techniques. Also learned a lot about the island's history which was fascinating. And Tyler was able to answer every question we threw at him!
