Owner description: Made up of seven white-sand beaches along St. John's north shore, all but one are part of the private playground for Caneel Bay Resort guests.

The property is beautiful, and the beach is pretty. However, it isn't as pretty as Trunk Bay, Hawknest, Cinnamon, or Jumbies. There is a nice raft to swim out to, and if you snorkel along the right past the point, you will be rewarded. We saw a Gray Angel Fish pair. We weren't allowed to bring a cooler to the beach. Also, the resort posted signs everywhere telling non-guests they couldn't sit on the millions of available chairs. One item, though: It costs $10 to park. If you spend $10 in the gift shop, parking is "free." So, it is worth your while to go into the gift shop and pick up gum or something. That way, you have SOMETHING to show for your $10, instead of nothing ....

The beach is at the Caneel Bay resort so it feels a bit like a man made beach. Lots of amenities and the hotel restaurant is good, but a bit pricey.

You used to be able to park and go to the beach. Now there is a fee. ($10?) Has a great beach and good place for lunch. So we no longer go.

a 5 star resort, very expensive, but the public can use the restaurants and thebeach but not the facilities of the beach such as their beach chairs, towels, sail boats ect. but it's worth an afternoon or most of the day there. the restaurant we ate at was very good!
