Owner description: This scenic bay on St. John offers a secluded beach with good swimming and snorkeling, plus a graded hiking trail leading to and from the beach and picnic area.

Silky smooth white sand and crystal clear water -- wait, haven't I written that about almost every St. John beach we visited? Seriously, this was practically deserted. And there are several cool little hikes from the far end of the beach. Salt Pond is interesting but the real find was Drunk Bay. Not a place to swim by any means, but a curious little spot with random acts of art -- people come here and fashion small figures out of the coral, coconuts and sticks that wash up on this rough shore. Quirky and fun.

Has hiking nearby, decent snorkeling for turtles and conch, peaceful and not crowded. Just gorgeous overall.

This was one of the least visited beaches I went to, but had some of the best snorkeling! My husband and I saw squid and loads of diverse fish. Quiet and good for a beach reading area, too.

This was probably our top snorkel experience after Leinster Bay/Waterlemon Cay. It's not heavily used given the short hike down to the beach and the 30 minute drive from Cruz Bay. You have to swim a fair distance to get out to the better snorkel area. The fish and coral were definitely worth it! We later heard that we actually didn't get to the best area, so this beach will be high on our places to visit when we return to St. John.

This was our third favorite beach we visited after Maho and Trunk Bay. The water is fairly calm with shade and snorkeling.
