Owner description: The most accessible and best preserved of its type, this once-working sugar plantation (circa 1870) was the site of boiling molasses and hardworking slaves harvesting sugarcane, and which now offers visitors regular tours and living-history demonstrations.

This was a fun place to visit, mostly because Charles the gardener invited visitors over to see his garden, try the local growing fruit, and learn about how he makes charcoal here. He was so pleasant, that I'll never forget that visit!

The ruins are absolutely amazing and historical. Although much of the sugar mill is gone, it is nice to see what remains. Defiantly come visit and have a taste of history at this amazing place. The view is stunning! There are also some signs that give you a visual of how the plantation used to look and some information of how each ruin used to work.

Great piece of history. Good pic opps. Our taxi driver was willing to take a detour and stop here on the way to Miss Lucy's. He kindly waited while we took pictures. Worth asking if yours will do the same.

Been here several times, always worth the trip! Beautiful view of Jost Van Dyke and the British Virgin Islands. Short walk to the beach if you are interested. Up the hill is the former windmill and sugar cane processing ruins. Signage is good to explain what you are seeing, cool to see coral and other artifacts mortared into the stone buildings. Flowers are all around, this is a photographer's dream. Takes about an hour, unless you are with teenagers who are done in 10 minutes. ; )

We went here to eat our picnic lunch after snorkeling at Waterlemon Cay. Beautiful view of Leinster Bay from the top. The old Sugar plantation is an interesting look back at yesteryear. Very interesting.
