An incredible array of fish and coral. The surf is rough and the current is strong, but it is worth it. I saw some sort of a fish that was longer than me.

You can rent a kayak from Maho and paddle to this rocky beach in about 20 min. The guide at the Maho activity center can give you advice on where to land and to snorkel. We snorkeled the left side and it was really good (barracuda, eagle ray) but it took a lot to fight the current and swim back, especially without fins. The previous time we had fins and kept snorkeling around the whole cay, but that's tiring too as it's about a mile swim.

I rented a kayak at Little Maho beach and paddled across the bay to this cay to do some snorkeling. It takes about 20-25 minutes there and 1.5 times that long to get back. One thing to note is that there's no sand there and you better bring some sort of watersport shoes or crocs with you. Otherwise, it'll be VERY painful to walk around the little pebble beach there. It took me 10-15 minutes just to get my kayak in the water being barefoot. There's not much to do on this cay but to snorkel or sunbathe. There's a nice reef patch to the west of old house ruins and some on the very eastern end. Circumsnorkeling will probably take you an hour or so.

One of the best spots in all of St. John. Well worth the effort to get too.

This must be some of the best diving in the area if you are looking to see some bright coral, Lobster, Black spotted eel. Have not dove since there and seen as much as there is right off the island.....EARNEST is a great dive guide, he knows how to take care of the coral and where are the hiding places are. We did the boat dive there, but others were taking the kayaks out there. You can rent everything from the Dive shop
