“Best meal of our trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

This restaurant is new to Cruz Bay in the last year and we were excited to try it out, based on other reviews. We selected the restaurant instead of the bar, and had a wonderful view of St. Thomas as it got dark. The restaurant was quiet whereas the bar (with a bit better view) was very noisy. Our young waiter,Nicholas, was charming and very knowledgeable about the food and how it was prepared. We chose the duck confit and the shrimp curry and both amazed us! Both were unforgettable. For dessert, we chose the chocolate flourless cake and the tiramisu. Both were among the best we have ever eaten (and we eat out a lot). This is a pricey restaurant, but well worth it!

“The best Food at USVI”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

I know about good food, and this restaurant has outstanding food. The only draw back is the location across from a cemetery, even though you can't see the cemetery from most of the tables. if this does not bother you, this is a must place to dine. It's even better than Zozo's on Caneel Bay which has an outstanding view.

“Unmatched view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

This fine-but-pricey restaurant at Gallows Point Suite Resort took the place of ZoZo's, which has moved to Caneel Bay. The layout is the same with a bar above the restaurant. Our food was outstanding, as was the service. We visited three times during out five-day stay at Gallows Point (highly recommended, the best place to stay on St. John). We sat at the bar and watched the sunset. When we returned another evening we were told there were no seats at the bar but we could sit in the "lounge" adjacent to the bar. Four chairs at the bar had "reserved" signs but no one there. After awhile waiting to order a drink in the lounge we just left. Reservations highly advised.

“We loved the view - but there was a catch this time”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

We have been here many times when it was Zozo's and came back to try it for our anniversary dinner. We sat at the bar, b/c that's where the best views are. The bartender seemed new and didn't give great service. For example, the people next to us asked for a particular bottle of white wine and he presented the same type but not the same brand. When they questioned him about it, he just said they didn't have the other. The concern we had was that we ordered an appetizer and it came with calamari as the garnish (not disclosed on the menu, not disclosed when the plate was served). Since we didn't want any other "surprise", I specifically asked if there are any "surprises" in the lobster risotto - and was answered "no" by the bartender. Well, it came and it had a mussel and clam on it. The food was ok, but not great - I felt overcharged $42 for the Lobster Risotto - I'm not even positive the meat was lobster, but I guess it probably was.

“Absolutely amazing food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2014

This restaurant is where Zozos used to be, and I have to say, Ocean 362 is far and away better than Zozos! The menu leans toward Indian style dishes, but the flavors are subtly spicy without ever being overwhelming. The Garlic Marsala shrimp was fantastic with the yuca mash, and if the Branzino is on the menu, definitely get it! (The chef prepares it himself.) The tirimisu is better than some I've had in Little Italy in NYC. And absolutely try the Jimmy Hendrix cocktail (chai tea with gin and mint.) I almost hesitated writing a review because I wanted to keep this gem a secret, but it is just too amazing to keep to myself! Really, it's NYC's fine dining on St. John.
