...if the bartender doesn't stand in the way. We sat at the bar, which was half empty and at sunset the bartender stood smack in front of us watching the sunset. You would think that he had never seen the St John sunset like his patrons that were spending a fortune to eat there. :( The food was presented lovely, but were the smallest portions we have ever seen and one meal was sent back-totally inedible! Our water glasses were never refilled and the place was empty. Don't think this place will make it.

This was our first visit to St.John we stumbled upon Ocean 362 while looking for places for dinner made reservation and had one of the best meals of the trip…. The scenic view the cocktails and of course our food appetizers and dinner were very good. Recommendations for appetizers try Garlic Masala Shrimp (spicy)& Plum Duck Taco for main course I got the Veal and it was good my other friends tried the Branzino and Lamb Chops and they liked their food as well. Will definitely go back if I visit St.John again a definite must visit….

On our recent trip to St.John we had the opportunity to try Ocean 362 at Gallows Point Resort. My girlfriend and I visit St.John once a year, this was our 4th trip together. The restaurant had just opened for business a few weeks ago. We made our reservation a few weeks in advance to score a seat at the bar. This is probably one of the most amazing sunset views you could ever experience while dining on the island. we ordered the Garlic Masala Shrimp for an appetizer and it was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Veal Osso Buco for my entree, it was one of the best Osso Buco I have ever had. The meat was very tender and did not need a knife to cut through. I had to go back two days later to order the dish again, I still cannot stop thinking of how good it was. My girlfriend ordered the Malabar Shrimp Curry and was very impressed with the delicate flavor of curry together with the Rice Pilaf and the Jumbo Shrimp. You know the chef is very passionate about his preparation when he picks out the best cutlery and crockery there is, the food presentation is simply out of the world. We eat out quiet often but this dinner experience was one of the best we have ever had. The ambience of the restaurant was very welcoming and the service was exceptional. Last but not the least, the choice of cocktails were unique and quiet delightful. We are already looking forward to going back there next year and cannot wait to eat at Ocean 362.

We were excited to try the new restaurant at Gallow's Point, and while it was ok, we were a bit disappointed. Portions are huge (the osso bucco, the best thing we ate, could easily have fed two) and so sharing might be the way to go, otherwise you're looking at a check of $100+ per person for drinks, apps, and an entrée each. The Mahi was inconsistent - two pieces of fish on the plate, and one was so oversalted it was hard to eat, and the other was completely underseasoned.

The environment is really nice and the staff were great. For a special occasion when you're not worried about the bill this could be a really nice place. But food wise, if you are going for something more creative (like this restaurant is trying to do), go to Fatty Crab instead.

We loved our dinner at Ocean 362 and would absolutely say it's a 'must' if you're in town. It's a popular restaurant, so making reservations ahead of time is important. We arrived just before our reservation time and were seated within a few minutes. Our server was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food is incredible- fresh and very well prepared. Hands-down, this was the best meal we had in St. John! Call early to make your reservation and enjoy!
