Whenever my husband and I are visiting St. John, we make sure we stop in one night for dinner if they are open. This time was no different then previous visits. We were seated outside near the road which is always entertaining to watch the people walk by. We ordered a bottle of red wine from a nice selection to choose from. We decided to ordered several tapas style appetizers to share between us and our friends who also joined us. The service was very good and our small plates came out in a timely matter. We had the mussels, duck leg confit, pork belly, to name a few. Everything was delicious. For a nice dinner with high end food, give La Tapa a try.

we had 5 in our party and ordered 5 out of the 6 small plates and 3 entries all to share and it was just perfect. All different wonderful foods to taste. Only thing is to be sure to ask for table closer to the outside of the restaurant. It gets stifling hot the closer you get to the center of the restaurant

The food was so delicious (and service so amazing) that we ate there 2 out of our 5 nights on the island. The chef and the staff were so welcoming that they make their guests feel like part of the family. The artichoke appetizer was to die for. The gazpacho was SO refreshing. The fish of the day was incredible! And t!he pasta entree was light and delicious (and made fresh). You won't be disappointed!

La Tapa is consistently amazing. The staff is highly trained in fine dining and ALWAYS provides an unforgettable experience. The menu is fine-tuned every single night, but you can always count on the SAUCES! They serve incredible bread, and you can order a plate of 3 different dipping sauces and they are absolutely to die for. Order at least 1 thing from every section of the menu. They will happily work with dietary restrictions and make sure you have an amazing dining experience. La Tapa knows what they are doing!!!!

We enjoyed our meal at La Tapa. With the small plates and large plates you can do a combination of possibilities here. I had two small plates- started with the mozzarella and then for dinner I had the duck confit. Both were delicious and because of the smaller size I did not feel overstuffed. We had seats on the side of the street where it was a little crazy with the traffic and people walking by and yelling and singing from the restaurant across the street. You may want to eat inside. The service was pleasant but a little off with bringing the wrong dish first to one in our party. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.
