My wife and I arrived and sat outside and off the street. We loved our food and the service was awesome!

The six of us ate inside during Tuesday, jazz night. The music was good, but it was impossible for us to have any discussions. I would recommend eating at outside tables to minimize noise. The duck and mussels were the best choices, but all other tapas were very good. The service was excellent.

We have been going to St. John for years and LaTapa is by far our favorite restaurant anywhere. The food is AWLAYS amazing and the waitstaff are so helpful and pleasant. They make you feel right at home and take the best care of us. It is always our first place we have dinner when we get on the island and we usually eat there a couple more times during our stay. Taryn(manager) is so gracious and we always look forward to seeing her. Everyone that works there have a smile and their face and do an amazing job. Most plates are small (tapas style) but HUGE flavor. The mussels are to die for. They are in a light light cream sauce with fresh herbs that is delicious and after the mussels are gone soak the sauce up with the bread. They change the menu frequently to have fresh fish, meats and vegetables. The entrees usually have a different flare to them but never have we been disappointed. Also a fun place to go for an after dinner drink or to listen to music on Tuesday nights(that night might have changed) Truly a GEM! Go check it out!

Had the mahi and it was Delicous! Ribeye was fresh and absolutely melted in my mouth. Mixed greens salad grown from Josephine's garden organically on the island left us wanting more. Ate there twice in eight days. Expect to pay about $100 for a couple., well worth the money!

Great food, great atmosphere! We are going to eat there twice this year. You'll need reservations because this seems to be the most popular place.
