“Easy access between islands”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

Cash. Bring it. You pay for yourself and bag(s). Get off at next island. Nice and easy. Did the roof on the way to St John, and enjoyed the AC deck on the way back to STT. I just bought a one way ticket, but they do have round trip.

“Got me there and back.”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

Wish they could find a place to dock closer to the airport. Has to be a more streamlined way to get to St. John. Good value for the $6 price one way.

“Bring CASH and a Towel!”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

If you're planning on catching the ferry to St. John, be warned that the terminal only accepts cash to purchase tickets. You CANNOT use a debit or credit card to purchase tickets. The ferry ride was very quick - maybe 10 minutes across. We left 5 late and took another 5 to dock at St. John. Great photos if you're willing to be slightly splashed on the top deck of the ferry. They charge for luggage, although we didn't bring any for the day. Super easy to purchase tickets and grab the ferry. There is an info booth with a really nice lady who can suggests some great places on St. John. There's a restaurant at the ferry station too. Bring your towel over to visit at least one of the beaches - Trunk Bay was really nice - in fact all of them are since they are part of the National Parks. Do some shopping in Mongoose Junction and def. grab a bite to eat at Ocean Grill. Don't skip dessert. Ferry costs are higher for tourists. We paid $7 per person. $28 round trip.

“Take your jeep to St. John's”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

Both times that we have traveled to St. Thomas, we have taken the ferry to St. John's out of Red Hook. Just know that you should take cash with you. I believe it is $50 for a round trip. Enjoy!
