Perfect Stay

My wife and I stayed at Gallows Point for the 3rd time in as many years. We've always stayed harbor side becuase we love watching all of the boats arrive/depart and the action in Cruz Bay. The 1st and 2nd floors provide excellent views of the harbor. Gallows is a beautiful property, the ground are well-kept, and the rooms are clean with nice furniture, etc. The staff is always really friendly. It's a short walk into town, but there's lots to do on the resort itself. The resort's reef is excellent. There's lots of marine life, and I even saw a 5 ft nurse shark in the reef. Lots of pretty coral as well. We love St. John, Cruz Bay, and Gallows Point. We wish we could visit Gallows Point more than once a year, but it's a special place to visit.

We agree that the harbor view is entertaining and charming, some guests prefer it over the quieter Ocean view side. The perfect getaway

We recently stayed at Gallows Point with friends and had an incredible weekend. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to provide a safe environment during these uncertain times was obvious from the time of booking. The property was well stocked with hand sanitizer, plexiglass shields and more to promote a safe experience for their guests. The room was very well cleaned and featured all of the amenities we could possible need. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and willing to help assist. We would highly recommend this property to others and will definitely be back.

Superb

Upper room with an ocean view- nature provided outstanding sunsets daily.
Morning coffee on the balcony.
Good snorkeling right out the back door.
Well-appointed interior. Modern appliances in a full kitchen. Comfortable furniture.
Master bed was in an open loft on the second floor with 1/2 bath.
Less than a 5 minute walk into Cruz Bay giving you an eat in or eat out option for every meal.
Could not ask for any better accommodations

Great space

We stayed in unit 10a for 1 week in early March 2020. We had stayed in the other lower unit in building 10 in the past. We continue to love the space and ocean or harbor side views but were disappointed in this unit.
The refrigerator was dented, with a dirty looking handle and rusty areas. Thankfully we didn’t need to store much fresh or unwrapped food in it. It did keep water and other drinks cool. The whole unit needs to be painted as well, especially the bathroom.
The king bed was comfortable and linens were clean and replaced daily.

I will stay here in the future but not in this unit.

Please note that in May we replaced ALL the appliances in that unit with brand new appliances, and made the necessary improvements you mentioned. If you choose to rebook with us within 1 year, we will offer you a 10% discount on your stay. We hope you return to Gallows Point soon.

Even better

So, I wrote a review after staying at Gallows Point in 2013/2014. Since then, I stayed again in 2017 and again just last month (Feb 2020). Wow, they have fixed everything after the hurricane. Even better ! I have not won the big lottery (yet), but GP is still at the top of my list.

Room tip: Not next to the graveyard - noise from bars downtown. The dead guys are relatively quiet.
