Superb

Upper room with an ocean view- nature provided outstanding sunsets daily.
Morning coffee on the balcony.
Good snorkeling right out the back door.
Well-appointed interior. Modern appliances in a full kitchen. Comfortable furniture.
Master bed was in an open loft on the second floor with 1/2 bath.
Less than a 5 minute walk into Cruz Bay giving you an eat in or eat out option for every meal.
Could not ask for any better accommodations

Great space

We stayed in unit 10a for 1 week in early March 2020. We had stayed in the other lower unit in building 10 in the past. We continue to love the space and ocean or harbor side views but were disappointed in this unit.
The refrigerator was dented, with a dirty looking handle and rusty areas. Thankfully we didn’t need to store much fresh or unwrapped food in it. It did keep water and other drinks cool. The whole unit needs to be painted as well, especially the bathroom.
The king bed was comfortable and linens were clean and replaced daily.

I will stay here in the future but not in this unit.

Please note that in May we replaced ALL the appliances in that unit with brand new appliances, and made the necessary improvements you mentioned. If you choose to rebook with us within 1 year, we will offer you a 10% discount on your stay. We hope you return to Gallows Point soon.

Even better

So, I wrote a review after staying at Gallows Point in 2013/2014. Since then, I stayed again in 2017 and again just last month (Feb 2020). Wow, they have fixed everything after the hurricane. Even better ! I have not won the big lottery (yet), but GP is still at the top of my list.

Room tip: Not next to the graveyard - noise from bars downtown. The dead guys are relatively quiet.

Couldn’t have asked for more!

My husband and I, aged late 70’s (though guests of all ages visit here) have just finished our second long-term stay at Gallows Point. We’ve been coming regularly to St. John for nearly 30 years and returned to Gallows Point because nothing could better suit our needs. It is located right in Cruz Bay and we were able to live for two months without driving a vehicle. We could walk to most places in town within 5 to 15 minutes, and travel easily by open-air taxis to any beach or any part of the island. Though we are not pool fans, the Gallows Point resort pool is lovely, the tiny beach provides amazing snorkeling as good as any we’ve ever seen on the island. Add to this the gorgeous landscaping and the kindest, friendliest staff we’ve ever encountered! The upper ocean view condo we rented was very comfortable, convenient, spacious and with a fantastic view toward Saint Thomas and other islands. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Paradise

Hubby and I finishing up a week here to celebrate 25 yrs of marriage. It was a stop on our honeymoon cruise and we always wanted to come back to St John VI. Lots of life to celebrate. It’s beautiful. We stayed in 6c. Great view of the sunset over St Thomas. The facilities are perfect. The little store has all the essentials and Cruz Bay is a short stroll down the hill to restaurants, bars, shops, a Catholic Church, and a bigger grocery store. Free access to laundry machines. Everyone on the island is nice. Easy to take the open air taxies by the ferry dock at Cruz Bay to the main beaches but we saw more wildlife just snorkeling off the shore in front of our cottage - even a sea turtle! Having a lazy breakfast on the balcony was a highlight to our stay. I will also be dreaming about the restaurant’s lobster ravioli. This is the perfect place to relax!
