“A great way to start our trip!!! Very relaxing, very fun!”
Reviewed June 8, 2009

The first day of our trip to St. John (We booked a 5 night stay on St. John for our 10 year anniversary) was spent on Survivan with Jason and Lou. Jason and Lou were outstanding hosts and were a joy to spend the day with. We couldn't have been happier with our day sail to Jost Van Dyke.

The first stop was at a remote spot for spectacular snorkeling. From there, we sailed to Jost Van Dyke for a quick stop at customs and to check out the infamous Foxy's bar. (Where we happened to meet Foxy - see our posted pictures) Then Jason and Lou sailed us over to White Bay on Jost Van Dyke to visit the Soggy Dollar and other beach bars and restaurants. We had lunch at Soggy Dollar, and then strolled down the beach to visit most of the beach bars for a drink. Then we kicked back to relax on the beach and swim in the beautiful water. The water and beach on Jost is unbelievable. The setting is surreal - From the crystal clear water to the soft white sand, we definitely found our way to paradise.

Survivan is a beautiful boat. Jason and Lou clearly take very good care of it.

The sail from St. John to Jost (and back) is very peaceful and very relaxing. Lou mixed up wonderful tasting "pain killers" and served up refreshingly cold beer. If you like to be in the shade, you can stay under the “bimini” or go up front to lie out in the sun. It was a perfect day of sailing and relaxing. We'll definitely be looking up Jason and Lou when we visit St. John again. Allowing us to bring our iPod also added a nice touch. We made a mix of our favorite songs to listen to as we sailed the Caribbean.

All communications with Jason/Lou to set up the sail were professional and prompt (from emails to phone calls).

My wife and I had a wonderful day on Survivan and our sail set the stage for a perfect week on St. John.

“Absolute best part of our trip”
Reviewed May 21, 2009

My wife and I spent one week on the island of St. John. We had an amazing vacation and our favorite part was our boat trip on Survivan with Captain Jason & Lou. They both have a wealth of knowledge of the islands and the waters surrounding them. The took us Snorkeling around the BVI's and then off to Jost Van Dyke and we visited the Soggy Dollar Bar. While the drinks at the Soggy Dollar Bar would good, nothing compares to the "Killer Collada" that Lou makes while you're on board. We can't thank them enough. It was an experience that we will never forget.

“Just the kind of people I would want to spend the day with!”
Reviewed May 21, 2009

Jason & Larita (Lou) were a wonderful captain and first mate! The trip was nice and laid back, the vessel well-appointed and immaculate, great music and tasty "Killer Coladas". They recommended Jewel's on White Bay, Jost van Dyke for burgers and did the honor of joining us for lunch. Thank you for your graciousness, hospitality, stories and travel tips - we had a blast! Please look us up in Portland! :)

“Survivan by far was the best daysail charter to the BVI's.”
Reviewed May 17, 2009

Jason and Lou were very knowlegable and accommodating hosts. The sail boat was extreemly well maintained and had more than enough room to move about. The snorkel stop to whistling Cay was excellent. The stop on Jost Van Dyke was a blast. The only thing that would have made the experience better would be if there was no rain. Weather was the only thing they could not control. We would definately use their service again.

“A Day on Survivan-St John US VI”
Reviewed May 10, 2009

We picked Survivan out of a number of websites and brochures. We wanted a full day of sailing and snorkeling. Jason and Lou advertised a first rate trip and they delivered. We visited two great snorkeling sites, enjoyed a wonderful lunch (more than just a cold sandwich), great drinks and good company. We felt very comfortable on the boat thanks to the bimini top which protected us from the sun and the skills of the crew. Their boat was located in the bay close to our rental house which was convenient.
