First of you get of the ferry and I was surprised that the place was only an 8 minute walk up from the ferry. That's a big deal bc you're going to want to be close to Cruz Bay to swing by for dinner at Long Board and the other places and happy hour at Beach Bar. On the walk up from the ferry you swing by Dolphin Market (smaller of the 2 main super markets) which is about 5 mins from the house and you've got your first day provisions and liquor done on the walk over. Win!
The other nice thing about being walking distance to Cruz Bay is that you can walk from the house to NPS dock in like 10 mins and from there walk the leisurely trail to Solomon and Honeymoon beaches. Great local beaches with a lot less people.
Back to the house it's setup clearly by people that enjoy coming to STJ. Unlike other vacation rentals there's nice gas stove, new quality cookware, a German knife (I know cooking nerd), spices and a gas grill in good condition. All of which for a foodie like me is a big deal on vacation.
The bedroom is really cool. 2 walls are opening doors so you have unobstructed views of Cruz Bay, St Thomas and all the pretty sail boats coming and going straight from bed or the really cool tub. The rest of the house is really nice and airy while the property has a very cool island vibe with bananas and mangoes growing right in front of you.
This place is amazing. It is super close to the ferry dock and has views from the master bedroom of the ocean and St. Thomas. My favorite experience was taking a bath while looking out to the ocean with the french doors wide open. Cruz bay has tons of delicious restaurants and trendy bars which is nice to be near after spending the day on the beach. Full kitchen to cook at home as well is nice to not spend so much money eating out all the time.
