“Don't Miss This”

This was a great day trip. A very sporty and fast Cat- making four stops during the trip. The first was The Baths. This is a must-see. Very beautiful and fun to walk around. The next stop was lunch on Norman Island. Nice on-your-own lunch. Many items to choose from. After lunch was snorkeling. Pretty coral and cool fish. The final stop was Jost Van Dyke and the world famous Soggy Dollar bar. This is where the Painkiller was invented. There is no direct boat access, so be prepared to swim to the bar. Then a fast trip back to St John. All in all, a very nice day.

The crew is also fantastic. Captain Kelly and her mates Kim and Nate were helpful. They were quite liberal with the the on board libations, but were excellent tour guides at The Baths.

This was a great trip, great crew-something you don't want to miss.

“Amazing Day Trip”
Reviewed February 23, 2010

We took the Bad Kitty charter from Cruz Bay, St. John on Feb. 19. After visiting the Baths at Virgin Gorda, lunch at Cooper Island, snorkeling at Norman Island, and the Soggy Dollar Bar/Beach, we felt that we had a comprehensive view of all the beauty and activities offered in the BVI.

The boat ride sped by, and the crew was friendly and efficient. Because of the swell, we had to disembark on Virgin Gorda and take a short taxi ride to the Baths. The Calypso staff had explain this as a possibility when I booked, so I wasn't surprised. The taxi ride was included. The Calypso crew led the hike, were knowledgable, and watched for everyone's safety.

My whole family agreed that this is the best boat charter we had ever been on in the islands, and we have been on several. Great job Captain Kelly and Crew Kim and Nate. We'd go again next time we are down.

“Bad Kitty Catamaran Boat Tour of BVIs”
Reviewed February 21, 2010

Just returned from a fabulous trip in St. John and highly recommend the day trip on the Bad Kitty which leaves from Cruz Bay. The captain and crew made the boat trip one of the highlights of our trip. Everything is well planned for the day, service is top notch and I felt very safe the whole time. I'm generally scared of open water and get sea sick easily but the Bad Kitty was a smooth ride. Captain Kelly and mates Kim and Nate were very friendly and shared a lot of information about the Virgin Islands throughout the day.

Captain Kelly strikes the perfect balance of both an experienced captain in control of the operation and an upbeat social director ensuring a well orchestrated day of fun. She sailed the boat smoothly in and out of several ports. We visited Virgin Gorda and the walk/rock climb/swim in the Baths was the most memorable part of the day. Also had a delicious lunch of vegetable roti on Cooper Island. Enjoyed the snorkel over the coral and through the caves on Norman Island. Ended the day at the Soggy Dollar, home of the Painkiller, on Jost Van Dyke.

This is the perfect way to take in the beauty of the Virgin Islands and it was a very relaxing way to spend our last day.

I highly recommend the trip on the Bad Kitty and thank Captain Kelly and her crew, Kim and Nate!

“This Trip was Awesome!!”
Reviewed February 8, 2010

The Bad Kitty was great. It was a smooth ride. The crew was excellent at making sure everyone had drinks and were efficiently organized to make the trip go as smoothly as possible. The itinerary was amazing.

We met at Margarita Phil's and were on the boat in no time. They had a variety of juices and snacks for breakfast along with mixed drinks to anyone who wanted to get started early. Please note that they do not have coffee on the boat. One lady was very distraught about this.

First stop was Spanishtown to pass through customs. One of the crew members takes everyone's passports to the customs office while you can shop in town. This was a very quick process.

Next we stopped at The Baths, Virgin Gorda. We took a short swim to shore from the boat and from there, the crew acted as tour guides through The Baths. This place was really cool and interesting.

We then went to Cooper Island for lunch. Our lunch orders were called ahead so that it was ready when we arrived. This was a beautiful place to have lunch and the food was good, too.

After lunch, we went snorkeling at the caves in Norman Island. This place had some really good snorkeling. The caves were cool and there was some nice coral along here.

Last stop was White Bay, Jost Van Dyke. What an awesome beach!! I didn't want to leave. By far the best beach we saw on our trip. We had drinks at the famous Soggy Dollar and just relaxed.

What a day! I would absolutely recommend this charter to anyone. We had the best time ever!

“Great day on the Kitty”
Reviewed January 23, 2010

We recently went on a full day trip on the Bad Kitty and loved the experience. This was easily the most comprehensive day trip you can take from Cruz Bay. We saw the Baths at Virgin Gorda, had lunch on Cooper Island, went snorkeling in the Caves and hung out at Jost Van Dyke for a couple hours. The itinerary was expertly planned out and downtime was a joy as the ride was comfortable the entire time. Kevin and Suzanne were fantastic in making the trip as smooth as possible.

One thing to note, and this wasn't the crew's fault, is that the international crowds at The Baths made the experience a little underwhelming. Way to many people yelling in such a small place. If you want to see this site and and relax I would recommend going early in the morning or late in the day. Our guide fended off the masses well but it was complete chaos.

All in, I would definitely recommend this trip.
