“Inconspicuous location for one of the island's best eateries”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014

On our first trip to the island we read the reviews for Sun Dog and knew we had to check it out. When we stopped at Mongoose Junction we were surprised to find the restaurant was truly the size of a food truck with outdoor seating between stores in the shopping destination. But don't let this small kitchen fool you - it is packed with a skilled crew that put a west coast twist on favorites and consistently serve up something wonderful. Things we'd recommend ...the fish tacos (even more amazing when they are offering them as a special with Mahi - although a strong choice either way), the "burrito that ate cruise bay" and "the pig" (pulled pork sandwich with a tangy sauce). And don't miss the painkillers - including some unique options like the mangokiller and the vanillakiller (or nilla killa as our waitress referred to it)! Between the delicious food, great drinks and friendly staff you feel like you are eating al fresco in the streets of a sleepy beach town.

“Very good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

We visited Sun Dog Cafe for lunch and dinner. Both meals were very good and not as pricey as some areas of Cruz Bay. The pizza and veggie lasagne hit the spot. I would recommend it.

“Dependable food for small kitchen, dine al fresco”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014 via mobile

Many choices with reasonable pricing. Personal pizzas, salad combinations, tacos, seafood and pasta. Shrimp Vera Cruz is a go to meal.
Tables are located in between several shoppes with umbrella protection. We love to see Tina, great waitress with energy and friendliness.
