Really no words to describe our dinner here! Sat in the very quaint bar first for some champagne. We were seated at a table overlooking Cruz Bay and off to St Thomas. Gina our server was a hoot! Tons of personality and her description of menu items was total entertainment! Krispin the manager is a great guy too. We ran into him around the island for several days. Music in background was Zen like and a total relaxing evening was had! Menu is small but covers all bases. The food was exceptional as was the service!

Most imaginative cocktail list, an incredible selection of creative entrees and starters, and desserts that we shouldn't have had, but couldn't resist...all overlooking Cruz Bay at night. Perfect!

Since we have discovered Asolare, we have continued to visit for dinner whenever we are in St. John. During this trip we went twice. We were very impressed with the new chef, Steven Diaz, and we were raving about our food so much he came out to meet us on a busy night!
We had excellent food both nights, the spring rolls were lovely, and the shrimp noodle bowl amazing. My husband's mahi mahi was particularly savory. The next visit we tried the dumplings which were crispy and delicious. I don't remember the name of the fish we had, similar to grouper, but it was fresh and well seasoned.
Note, arrive a bit early for your reservation and hang at the gorgeous candlelit stone bar! We wait for those "passiontinis" for months at a time. Sitting at Asolare's bar is like part of a romantic spy novel. You will not be disappointed!

We loved the food, the atmosphere, and the entire experience! The food was wonderful, ask about the specials! They had fish on their menu I had never even heard of, I wish I had written their names down yummy!

We walked in late with a large party and no reservation but Greg at the bar took great care of us. I would recommend reservations for sure. The view is fantastic and all the tables are out on the terrace. Our service was pretty good as we were the last table of the night. They were out of a few dishes, but what we ordered was quite good and our teenage kids enjoyed as well.. The menu has an Asian flare and is undergoing a change. In summary, I would definitely recommend as it is a great combination of ambiance, view and cuisine.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here! We are glad we were able to accommodate your party. We apologize for being out of a few items, we do prepare in advance and try our best to make sure everyone can order exactly what they want. Reservations are recommended, as we are a small restaurant. The restaurant was built as a single-family home in the 50's, and we have kept the unique look and feel of the architecture intact. The setting makes for an intimate evening, and we are able to provide some of the best personal service on island. We appreciate your business!
Sincerely,
Kim S.
