This was not our first choice for dinner this night, our first choice had been reserved for a private party and they recommended Shipwreck Landing. We didn't have a reservation but got a table right away. Their daily specials are written on a large board that is proped near your table, great idea. The drinks were good and the service was typical for the area, not speedy but not super slow either. They were out of some items (conch fritters and mahi mahi), maybe due to the other restaurant sending more diners then usual for a Monday night their way. The food was good and plentiful. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Looking around at other patrons you could tell this was a place frequented by tourists and locals, a good thing.

This is my third trip to St. John and the Shipwreck Landing delivered once again. We showed up early before the bars normal open while the staff was there preparing the bar for the day. The bartender was very friendly and said she had a few things to complete but she could make us some Bushwackers.

I was so pleased with the service we stopped another day and had a light snack. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp.

Shipwreck Landing is what I expect in the Islands - basic, open air bar that uses nature to bring the beauty into the restaurant.

We went here twice - quite simply because the meals were excellent. Fresh fish and great service. Skip the chocolate cake - it is imported from the states and is dry. The pies are made on site and the key lime a particular favorite. Blackened mahi mahi very good. Kids liked their new york strip. Fried oyster appetizer overcooked but the rest great. Worth the drive!

Shipwreck Landing
Eat, Drink and Enjoy the View
We took a day trip to St John taking the barge with our car and then driving around. We stopped for lunch at the Shipwreck landing at Coral bay.
The place is nice. Open on three sides with a view of the bay. We both had the Grouper fish and chips which was very good. They have on the table two local hot sauce both very good one VERY hot.
The drinks are well mixed. Far enough from Cruz bay you enjoy a nice location good food and our server a tall blonde lady was very good and attentive.

We had an amazing lunch at Shipwreck. We drove by one day at 1 PM and it was so crowded... no parking spot. Came back a couple days later at noon. Parked right in front and had a lovely meal. Open air, nice wait staff, great, cold adult beverages! Worth the drive. It would be an amazing place for an evening meal! Highly recommended.
