Stopped here on the recommendation of guide book. Beautiful relaxing view right on the water. Service a bit slow, but nice waitress. Conch fritter appetizers were great. Sandwiches ordered by those in our party looked great and everyone loved them. I ordered a grilled fish platter which was a very meager portion for the price. Veggie side was too meager to even put on plate.. Also a side of fried plantains which were great but again a very meager portion of only 4 pieces of plantains.
Only problem if you can call it that in the islands, was a wandering goat under our table. The goat obviously had diarrhea, with bits of poop hanging off his behind--very unappetizing as you can imagine. Also multiple stray cats wandering among the tables.

My husband and I ate at Miss Lucy's for lunch yesterday. I had the fish fry which came with rice, plantain, and grilled veggies. My husband ordered the grouper rueben sandwich which came with French fries. Both were delicious. Service was a little slow but just remember you are on island time and it gave us more time to enjoy the great view. Our bill came to a little over $40 with two beers and a soda. We will definitely be back.

This was a second trip to Miss Lucy's. The first a few years age. It still lived up to our memory. If you get there early (she opens at 11) you can grab one of the tables two feet from the water. The breezes blow, the trees shade, and the water laps, not to mention the food excels. We had a few beers, the roti, johnny cakes, conch fritters (a must), and the fish fry. The waitresses are fun and a little harried because they seem under staffed, but the view and a cold beer make you unconcerned. This time we were entertained by some local wildlife (think chickens, cats, and a baby goat). They mingled about looking for handouts, but if you ignore them they'll find someone who doesn't. This place is definitely worth the trip to the far east side. If you're out on a drive, make it a pitstop for sure.

Love this place! When we return to the island we will DEFINITELY eat here again. Love the atmosphere, the staff and the food. Had a late lunch here, and a great dinner. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The views are amazing, as are the drinks! Food was local, and true. From the food to the atmosphere, this is a destination in Coral Bay, the heart of St John!
