“Still One of Our Favorites and Unbeatable Views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

We returned to St. John after visiting last June, and because Miss Lucy's was one of our favorite restaurants the first time we visited the island, we definitely planned to return. We were not disappointed. In my opinion, this restaurant has some of the best views on the island. It is a great casual atmosphere. We ordered conch fritters, steak wrap, seafood wrap and the jerk chicken wrap. The seafood wrap was so good, and our meal so enjoyable , that we actually ended up eating lunch twice at Miss Lucy's during the week. The seafood wrap and fries was our favorite. As others have mentioned, service was a little slower than other places (though we never waited more than an hour) but we didn't mind at all because of the spectacular views. If you are looking for a casual restaurant with first class views and friendly service, Miss Lucy's is a must!

“Four-footed drinking buddies”

Miss Lucy's is such a great experience. The view is spectacular - lots of outdoor seating at the water's edge and VERY friendly goats to share the day with. Occasionally one (or two or three) will venture out of their enclosure and nuzzle a piece of fruit from your drink.... after all - it IS polite to share!!! Love it!!!

“Overhyped”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2013

Reading through all the praise for this restaurant, I decided to visit it myself with my family. After being seated and our order being taken by a friendly waitress, we waited for quite some time (approx. 1.5hrs ) before our food arrived, despite only about eight customers there. The food was average, not something to be overly excited about and certainly not worth the long wait (island time a poor excuse for inefficiency) .
Good location with beautiful view of Friis Bay.

“Caribbean Cuisine without the Attitude”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

Have eaten there twice so far and the food has been very good both times. The wife really liked the fried plantains and wants me to learn the recipe. Although the goats were sometimes a hassle, the waitress was very attentive and put them in the pen when they became a nuisance. The views were awesome and there is both inside seating as well as outside. If you like to sample the local dishes without the take it or leave it attitude then Miss Lucy's is the place for you.

“Kinda sorta disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

I thought Miss Lucy's would be a good choice for a special anniversary dinner, unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. We thought we hit it on an "off" night. The waitress mentioned (after a very long wait and finally inquiring) that they were short staffed, but seeing other reviews about how long waits were I'm thinking it may be the norm. I totally understand the "island time" thing, but this was extreme. It's hard to relax and enjoy when you feel guilty asking for anything because they are so "swamped".
The food was fine and the view nice, though we probably would have to re-think before going back.
