“Great for motor cyclists too!”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Although me and friend only stayed for one night ( in a twin room) I would recommend this guest house as exceptional. All of the staff were friendly and our room immaculate and well presented (the rooms similar to premier inn standard). Breakfast was great and there is room to park motor bikes on a hard standing area. The approach lane into the guest house is a little bumpy for bikes but not a problem. I would definitely stay here again.

Of all five places we stayed on our Welsh holiday, this was the least hospitable. We had booked a room with two beds and also phoned to have this room confirmed. But on arrival we were shown a one-bed room. Most astonishing was the attitude. When we pointed out we had the paperwork for a two-bed room, the reply was "Well it doesn't matter if you've got the paperwork because the room has gone". Granted a fold-up bed was then produced, but this was hardly a friendly or professional approach.
Also, there is a tight approach to breakfast. Tomatoes were out of a can and when one of us said we would just have mushrooms on toast instead of the full breakfast, the amount of mushrooms filled half a slice of toast. Perhaps we had a bad experience because it was a Bank
Holiday weekend, but we will not be returning and could not recommend.

Room Tip: Some rooms overlook the carpark but we didn't experience this,so don't know whether this is...

We stayed here two nights in a nice twin bedded room. The room, bedding, bathroom, towels TV were spotless and it was lovely to actually get a bath in the bathroom, instead of the usual shower only. A nice bonus - the room contained a fridge. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast cooked to order. My only slight complaint would be that it would have been nice if the tomatoes had been fresh and not tinned: I have stayed in many B&Bs all over the UK and have never been given the tinned variety. All in all though, if I needed to return to the area I would certainly stay there again.

Welcoming host, set us up in a clean and tidy room. Bed was comfy and there were plenty of towels, breakfast was great and pretty much made to order. The view from here is stunning. There is even a lake running in front of the place. We shacked here as we were doing the snowdonia triathlon, so the distance was apt as well. No hassles, and the host was kind enough to let us shower in the cubicles after our triathlon was done, despite going past our check out time.

Very friendly hostess at the b'n'b, which was located in the beautiful Brecon Beacon area, i.e. close to various outdoor activities. Good breakfast with a selection of different cereals, yoghurts and juices. Not quite a b'n'b feel, rather like a small family-run hotel.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Our hostess was very lovely and helpful, she directed us to a local restaurant in a hotel which she recommended, if we fancied it. The room was a lovely very large size room and very warm and cosy. The bed was comfy and the bath was amazing after 9 hours of trekking over the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park in thick snow and ice! The breakfast was very yummy and set us up for the day. We will definitely bear this little gem in mind next time we come back to the Brecon Beacons - absolutely no qualms about staying here again. The B&B is only about 10 minutes down the road from a few retail parks with various eateries (including Nandos, Harvester, Frankie & Benny's etc) and shops so made the B&B's location even better. Parking at the B&B was no problem at all as there is parking behind the B&B. The B&B is set back on a slip road and which has plenty of parking also.
