“Breakaway Charters was best trip of the week”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Breakaway Charters was best trip of the week. We had a blast. This is a power boat tour that took us to St. John, The Baths in Virgin Gorda, Pussers Island, and The Soggy Dollar bar on Yost Van Dyke. The views are beautiful and spectacular.
The boat is spacious and comfortable.
The crew was fantastic. Capt. Lindsay, John, and John (JT) made the trip extra enjoyable. Fun people who enjoy what they are doing, and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The mix of music that Lindsay played was very good. It covered the spectrum of music.
They served ice cold beverages; soda and beer. In the afternoon, after snorkeling, we has Pain Killers (rum drinks).
This is the best way to cover all of these islands. We did the catamaran tour of the islands a few years ago and The Breakaway was a nicer trip.
I highly recommend this trip.

“Time of my life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

I book this day trip with my girlfriends for my birthday and we had the time of our lives. Lindsey and John were just amazing. They catered to our every needs and made sure we had a good time. I could not have picked a better way to spend a birthday. I will never ever forget this excursion. The only down side is that i would have liked to spend more time at the baths at virgin gorda. Did not get a chance to take all the pictures that i wanted and really take it all in. But still great great great dat trip. Worth the money and the time.

“Amazing/Relaxing day trip worth every penny.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

We did the day trip to the British Virgin Islands. It was worth every $$ to have a guided tour though out the day. Which excluded a trip to " The Baths" rock formations lunch on a small island an hour snorkeling and then finally a couple hours in Jost Van Dyke at the "Soggy Dollar Bar". We had the pleasure of having Captian Jim and First Mate John T. These two did an amazing job at keeping us on time without making us fealed rushed and had a welth of knowledge. I would sail with this company again but would make sure to request Jim & John T as they did just an amazing keeping the party going.

“One great day in the BVIs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2013

We were picked up at our hotel, Caneel Bay Resort on St. John, and spent the day travelling to and around the BVIs. We made four stops;; the not-to-be-missed "Baths" (batholiths), huge boulders that we hiked around and between; Diamond Reef for seeing corals and fish of ever color; lunch at Marina Cay; and the first of many "Painkiller"s (a fruity rum drink) that afternoon at the famous "Soggy Dollar" bar on Jost van Dyke. Fresh fruit was served after snorkeling, and plenty of shrimp cocktail for those who desired. Then came the endless drinks until we were back at St. John. Captain Justin and the crew of Michelle and Marina were fun and proficient. They knocked themselves out to keep our group safe and happy, even to getting in the water at the reef stop to help people that were not comfortable or experienced. It was a great day, good folks!

“BVI Tour & sunset sail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

We did a BVI tour with Breakaway charters and had a fantastic time. The crew was the perfect mix of professional and fun, and the tour hit all the high points we wanted to see, allowing just the right amount of time at each stop. The Baths were magnificent; the snorkeling provided lots of fish to see; lunch was excellent, and the Soggy Dollar Bar at Jost Van Dyke was plenty of fun.

Then we did a sunset sail on New Horizons (same company as Breakaway), which for me was the high point of our entire vacation (and that's really saying something). Again, the crew were very fun and personable, but always with an eye toward making sure guests were safe and comfortable. The multi-course gourmet dinner was delicous and very high quality. The sunsets in the Caribbean are gorgeous, and this is the best way to enjoy it. I wholeheartedly recommend the New Horizons sunset sail for anyone who wants to have a date night while visiting St Thomas, and I highly recommend this company for anyone who wants to take a charter trip out of the east end.
