After being stranded in fort Lauderdale from the Spirit strike, we arrived a day late. Alice, who was filling in for the owners was so helpful, which eased our anxiety and worry. Our flight home was delayed 2 days, and Alice made sure we had accomodations. The condo was just as described, with anything you could possibly need. She was also helpful with places to eat, where to park, and many other little things you don't think of until you do! We would return in a heartbeat!
We wish we could have met June, but hope to on a return visit. A big thank you to Alice! Hugs from Kim, Cassie and Kristi!
We just returned from a 10 day stay with June & Steve at Treetops. It was a great place to stay, convenient to Red Hook and high enough for a great breeze everyday with no need for air conditioning. Great views from all three side of the balcony of St. John and adjoining islands and American Yacht Harbor. Large accommodations and easy access make this a great choice. Rent a car when you go and explore the island and restaurants. Some of our favorites were Lobster Grille at Bolongo Bay for a more formal dinner and Iggies for a great beach bar, Slice at Sapphire Village, Lime at Pools & Pavilions (great Tapas and drinks) and Waterfront Bistro in St. John. For beaches we enjoyed Sapphire and Coki for snorkeling and Megans Bay for relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit to STT to enjoy Treetops and June & Steve's hospitality.
We just spent a week at Tree Tops and enjoyed it very much. June and Steve are very helpful and we appreciated their knowledge of the island. We rented a small size SUV and would definitely recommend that. Driving on the left side was easy to adjust to and it gave us the flexibility of going to 6 beaches in 7 days and we took the car ferry to St John. All the beaches were beautiful but of course Magens Bay was awesome and Secret Harbour is truly a gem within minutes of the condo. We enjoyed the town of Red Hook and ate dinner there every night. Fish Tales was a favorite of ours. The villa has all the comforts of home and a grocery store literally at the bottom of the hill. We loved everything about this vacation and would recommend Tree Tops to anyone..... couples or a family.
Where do I begin... This 2br/2ba condo was the perfect place to rest after a day at the beach. I loved the large shower with the outdoor feel. The bedrooms/bathrooms are identical so it would be great for 2 couples. No fighting over the best room! The bedrooms have air conditioners if needed at night. The main living area had 4 sets of French doors to open and feel the fresh sea breeze. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, a gas grill and full kitchen if you don't want to go out to one of the great restaurants on the east end. The condo felt private but yet the awesome hosts (June and Steve) are onsite to answer any questions about the area and provide snorkel gear and beach towels (we saved a ton of space not having to lug that over in the luggage)There are several fantastic beaches for snorkeling or just soaking up the sun within a few minutes drive of this location. Tree Tops is up on a hill above the town of Red Hook so everything is almost within sight of the condo. And the sights...watching the boats is mesmerizing. Red Hook has several restaurants, Moes grocery, a pharmacy, and the boat harbor if you are taking a charter. We would recommend Night Wind which is docked a short drive from Tree Tops.
If you are an animal lover like we are, maybe you will be lucky enough to have one of the resident dogs visit you. We can't wait to come back. We will be staying much longer next year. Love St Thomas, Love Red Hook, Love Tree Tops and Love the The Marshs. See you all next year....or earlier if I can talk the hubs into it!
Just returned from a 9 day vacation at the TreeTops. This is a great place to stay on the east end (Red Hook) of St. Thomas. It's clean, roomy for 2-4 people and has an amazing wrap around porch. A kitchen with all you need for eating in and comfortable area for lounging and watching TV. June and Steve are great hosts and check daily to make sure all is okay and answer any questions on the area concerning beaches, restaurants, etc. Steve even helped with a tire problem on our rental car. We had a day of rain and wind and had no problem just hanging-out at the villa reading and watching TV. TreeTops is close for walking (although a bit of an uphill hike) to restaurants in Red Hook or the Moe's for groceries. And the view of the harbor is AMAZING. We will return.
The view from the porch overlooking Red Hook, American Yacht Harbor plus you can see right over to St John and past to theBVIs
Throw the windows open and let thebreezes blow threw. Although air conditioned we never turned it on the who week we were there. Two private suites make it perfet for two couples or a family. It has everything one would need including beach chairs snorgle gear beach towels and a nice gas grill June and here husband are right on premise for questions and suggestions. Three must does, day trip to St Johns by ferry, Pizza upstairs at American Yacht Harbor and Linquest Beach just up the road. We were there for our anniversary and are thinking of making it a yearly trip, veryquite and gated so you can sleep with all the windows open to experience the great tropical weather
Don't look else where for a place to stay! This place is the most incredible place I've ever seen! It's true paradise with AMAZING views!
June & Steve went above and beyond to provide us with everything we needed! June even gave me a freshly cut aloe vera leaf from her own garden for my sunburns. She's the most genuine person you will ever meet! She's very responsive when you book with her. Communication for 6 months with June was easy breezy. The Red Hook location is a great area to be in since it's close to restaurants, shops, and close to several beaches. Please go eat at Latitude 18 and watch the live band. They are hilarious! We will definitely be back and stay at June's place for sure! We love you June and thank you soooo must for the hospitality you given us!
