My wife and I just returned from a great vacation at Sapphire Beach. I have read about all the management/maintainance/service issues associated with many of the units under the mangement of Antilles. We found a privately owned and managed condo that had been totally renovated (stthomasescape) When we walked into the marble bathroom, we thought we were at the Ritz. This unit even had a large plasma tv. Don't think of it as a hotel room, rather that you are renting a beachfront condominium for a week, with maid service. The beach at Sapphire is incredible with views of St. John and great snorkeling. We took the frery from Red Hook (only a mile away) and spent a day checking out St. John. Rent a car and drive around the entire island of St. Thomas checking out all the beaches- there are all public. Don't miss eationg a meal in Frenchtown- try Craig and Sally's or Oceana. Also make sure you get a milk shake with liquor at the St Thomas Dairy- right near the entrance to Magen's Bay Beach.
