“Busy Bay!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Although somewhat crowded, and paying an entrance fee (as it is a national park), the beach was very nice. When not watching the crabs duck into the sand, watch the big birs dive for fish in the water! As for the water, it was clear and warm! SWIM!

“Such a fantastic beach!”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Clean, white sand. Gentle waves. Snack bar and full bar. I think Magen's is my favorite beach on St. Thomas. Stay near the snack bar if you want to enjoy the people watching. Go WAY DOWN to the left if you want a quieter, more private beach experience. This beach is so long that you will find what you are looking for - quiet or crowds, sun or shade, lounge chairs, picnic tables, changing rooms, bathrooms, etc all with a view of a beautiful bay. The best part of Magen's may be that there are no harassing vendors. You can get food, beverages, hair braids, kayak rentals, etc - but generally you have to approach them. They don't really solicit you so you can sit back and relax!

“Very beautiful indeed”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

The beach is very beautiful because of the shape of the bay and the surrounding vegetation.
It has an access fee and restrooms are available. Plenty of natural shade and quite long to walk to and fro.

“Decent beach, but expensive to get to.”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

No public transport to it, so you need a 8$ cab pr. person from the capitol both ways. The beach has a 4$ entry for each person, but it is clean. Somebody told me it was to keep the beaches clean and the poor people away? Decent junk food for sale there.
