Enjoyed our stay in Feb. This was the best Bed and Breakfast we have visited. The location is very convenient and a nice view of the bay. Pam and Matt were wonderful. They were very helpful with all our sight seeing questions. We enjoyed great breakfasts each morning. They really work hard to make your stay pleasant. We would go back.

I stayed here with my husband and parents after a sailing trip in the BVI. Our stay was only for two nights, and we all wish we could have stayed longer! We loved the style of the inn - very relaxing, open and breezy, beautiful decor. We enjoyed all areas of the space, including the open terrace deck, common living areas, and the pool deck. The views of the harbor are wonderful! The pool space is nice, as it provides chairs in both the sun and the shade, as well as small sitting tables on a patio in case you wish to eat or drink there. We made use of the honor bar, which is very well stocked! I think they provide everything you need if you wish to make a cocktail (or beer, wine, etc.) Water and snacks are free, which was great to have to bring food for a trip to the beach. The breakfasts were great - quickly served and prepared so it did not waste the day - and the food was incredible!

Our group stayed in rooms 3 and 4 - we were originally disappointed we did not have rooms 1 and 2 with the shared terrace, however, there was really no need for it. We enjoyed drinks by the pool and on the main terrace, and had no issue with space or privacy (as there are only 4 rooms in the hotel, you rarely even see other guests). Both rooms were clean and made for comfortable sleeping (really the only time we were in the room anyways!) Pam and Matt were wonderful hosts - helpful and there to assist, but respect that you wish to relax and enjoy your stay without interruptions.

We look forward to staying at At Home in the Tropics in the future - and hopefully for a longer stay next time!

After spending a week cruising around the BVI's, we returned (tired, but happy) to St. Thomas for 2 nights before heading back to the States. Our relaxing (but too short) stay at "At Home in the Tropics" was a welcome respite from being constantly on the move! Such a wonderful paradise, this place will take out every bit of stress you could ever imagine. Pam and Matt were absolutely wonderful hosts, the breakfasts served on the open porch or in the beautiful dining room were yummy & truly satisfying! All rooms were large and airy and very clean, with plenty of storage space for your clothes. We stayed in Room 2, and the 3 other couples that were cruising with us stayed in the remaining 3 rooms. It was great...since there are only 4 rooms to rent, we had the entire place to ourselves! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were plenty and so puffy & soft! We loved that the toilet, shower & sink were in separate rooms from each other. Each room is assigned a refrigerator out near the pool (a very nice touch) and the pool area itself is beautiful. The B&B living areas (open to all guests) were wonderful and airy, and had nice touches such as a Keurig coffee maker, an honor bar refrigerator, polar water, snacks, and hundreds of books to read and relax with. The view of St. Thomas harbor & town from the porch, balcony behind rooms 1 & 2, and the pool area is spectacular! Lots of plushy sitting areas in the living room and back porch...so relaxing! The beautiful flowers hanging over the wall made that place even more beautiful! Just a 5-10 minute (at most) walk down the steps and into the shopping area was a plus! The B&B is far from any road traffic, so it is VERY quiet up there! I tell you, we wanted for NOTHING at "At Home in the Tropics". Pam and Matt thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay more enjoyable & relaxing! I would highly recommend this place for couples....very romantic! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to St. Thomas, and plan on staying much longer this time! Our many thanks to Pam and Matt for running a truly great establishment!

Room Tip: All the rooms are nicely appointed, and all very similar. Rooms 1 & 2 have an upper balcony with seating out the back door that overlooks St. Thomas, but rooms 3 & 4 are closest to the pool (actually, all are very close to the pool), which has the same view. You cannot go wrong with any of the rooms at this wonderful B & B!

My husband and I stayed at this B&B during our vacation, Pam & Matt were exceptional host/hostess, very friendly and laid back, we were very comfortable and really felt at home.Breakfast was superb, delicious and plentiful. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Excellent view, walking distance to downtown and other ameneties.
Matt was very funny and kept us laughing, we had the opportunity to see him in his carnival costume and was he ever hilarious, unforgetable experience.
This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in.
