“A very good choice”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Charlotte Amalie was a port stop on our recent Caribbean Cruise. Going against cruise ship recommendations we took our second Caribbean island taxi tour that had no connection to our ship the Celebrity Summit. The first being a Grenada island tour with Victor. The drivers stand just outside the disembarkation docks. For the first couple of island stops we were a little hesitant because they were not Celebrity sanctioned and some drivers can be very sales oriented and make you feel put off a bit. Our St. Thomas driver's name was Maryann and she took such good care of us. We toured the whole island. Met her Mama who rode with us. Her husband and daughter who worked at a hotel and at the fort. She gave us the best excursion of the island with wonderful views, interesting sites and stops and shared so much island resident information. All for $20 per person. Very personalized as well as an incredibly good deal. Would do this again without hesitation.

“Toured the island, included shopping, snorkelling and sight seeing”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

A wonderful day. Spent the first part of the day shopping at the market and the downtown area...then onto the tour bus (open concept- like a trolley) to see the sights...basically the highest point on the island with a magnificent view. Then onto Magens Bay to snorkel.
Great day, all for only 25.00 USD ...cold drinks included (no alcohol)
Loved this island. Book ahead your excursion...6 ships were docked that day. VERY busy...we were stuck in traffic coming back to the ship, took about an hour. Not a problem for us, we loved the island, but the people who live on the island we NONe TO PLEASED.

“Agenda did not fit our time”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

First, I have to say that Eddie who led our excursion was very interesting, reliable and knowledgeable about St Thomas. We signed up for the Ultimate St Thomas Island & Coral World tour. Before going, I emailed Island Marketing Limited about the time we had available off our cruise ship and the length of our tour. They said they'd have us back on time by cutting back some of the trip. Okay, our trip should have consisted of 2 hours of sightseeing, 2 hours of shopping and 2 hours at Coral World and it would have to be cut down about an hour. Okay, we didn't need 2 hours of shopping no problem. Unfortunately, Eddie is the only tour operator in St Thomas so he has to accommodate the tour to fit everyone's tours of which there are many variations. What happened was we got plenty of sightseeing in, practically no shopping (a little at Mountain Top only) and only 45 minutes at Coral World. Since we got to Coral World 45 minutes before it closed, most of the attractions were closed down so we ended up going to the beach for a while until Eddie picked us up. Now if we had been told we wouldn't get to Coral World until 45 minutes before it closed, we would not have booked this particular tour and paid an extra $17 per person to see absolutely nothing at Coral World but a few fish. Most of it was closed. What a disappointment. It would only have been fair for Eddie to tell us - sorry, I won't charge you the whole $53 instead I'll charge you $36 like everyone else but he failed to do this. The people who booked us over the internet also failed to mention, we would be paying for something we didn't get to really take advantage of. But in other fairness, we liked Eddie and still tipped him because we could tell he wanted to do the best he could but we were the two tourists who were shafted because there was not enough time to do what was promised. Please take this into consideration when you book a tour through St Thomas Excursions. Coral World is definitely not worth including unless you get there in the morning.
