“Great little escape”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

We would have walked right by this, despite knowing about it and keeping an eye out for it, but fortunately a woman associated with the establishment was right outside and shooed us in.

It was a great little break from main street. It was lush and tropical inside, unlike a Bavarian Hall, which for some reason was what I was picturing. There was only one ship in port, so it was quiet, but the people in there were relaxed and friendly. The beer prices were very good, especially considering we were in a touristy area. The selection isn't terrible either.

People say the conch fritter are really great, and they make a great bushwacker, but we just stopped in for some quick cold ones. Two drinks cost us five bucks, which is unheard of in the states unless it's college night and you're drinking Busch Light from a keg. It's a nice place to duck in and enjoy.

“"great drinks"”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

Second time coming to this place, and both times had a great time.
Beautiful little place in an alley way, we loved it. Great place to put your feet up and unwind after a full day of shopping!! The drinks and conch fritters are fantastic and reasonably priced.
Met the owner, very nice man, very pleasant and hard working! Keep up the good work. Thanks!!

“Great break from shopping”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

This place is a charm and easily missed. St Thomas seems to lack places to sit and rest/relax/reflect while shopping. The Beer Garden fits the bill. It's down a passageway and has nice plants with an outdoor patio ambience. The beer selection and prices are great for ST and margaritas delicious. I'm giving it four stars since we didn't have food. However, the prices were great especially for ST. The owner/bartender is amazing and a great conversationalist. When you need a break from the downtown shopping scene, this is it. Or, if you just want a great place to have a beer or margarita, check out the Beer Garden. Forty beers served ice cold.

“2 for 1 beers and great margaritas”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

A good selection of beers for 2 for $5, $6, or $7. The friendly 72 y/o bartender / owner, a 35 year resident of St Thomas, will talk your ear off about anything you'd like to talk about. The hand made margaritas were delicious and, though I didn't eat there, the food prices were incredibly reasonable for St Thomas with burgers under $10.

“Nice and Quiet”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

If you blink you might miss the place but they had a couple Swedish gals standing out front to draw your interest as to what was down this quiet little alley. I believe the Owner's name is Nala, real nice guy, even to the local town drunks that think they are owed something when they walk in the place. Cheap beer prices(two for five dollars for most domestic US beers.)The place is set back into a patio type area and the plants and flowers give it an inviting island bar vibe. Didn't try the food but there were some people there that were eating and seemed to really be enjoying their meal and drinks.
