We had a great time chatting with the bartenders and having drinks at the Fat Turtle. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food. But the atmosphere was fun and inviting!

Ordered a mahi sandwich and was very happy with it. Unfortunately it took 45 minutes to arrive. The restaurant wasn't busy and yet it felt like our waitress was always in the kitchen. We ended up going to the bar to get drinks because we were tired of waiting.

BUT, would recommend it because the view of the harbor and yachts is great and the food is pretty darn good. And the drinks had the desired effect.

Would give 5 stars if we had a good waitress.

We went to the Fat Turtle last week for our second to last evening in St. Thomas. We had the platter appetizer with potato skins, mozzarella sticks, egg rolls and chicken fingers. My husband had the pizza and I had the lemon-butter salmon for dinner. The food was tasty and the sauces were really good but it wasn't anything we couldn't find at home. The view was really nice out over the harbor with a storm coming in. Go for the view and you can't go wrong.

We came here with a large group late one evening. They accommodated us with no difficulty. The service was good, although it did take some time for some members of our party to get their food. The restaurant sits on the harbor near the cruise ship terminal. Nice place to sit next to the water. I would come back as this is a nice mix of food and atmosphere.

Located just a short walk from the cruise port in Charlotte Amalie this Open Air Restaurant Pub is an oasis to the tired HUNGARY and Thirsty. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The location, on the water in Yacht Haven Grande is picturesque cool and breezy. The food while being traditional Island flare is fresh and plentiful. If you are lucky you might see "The Chef", Julius Jackson. Currently a WBA contender. His take on food is as aggressive as his recipe's. I'll go back.
