Island Beachcomber Hotel

We stayed here for a whole month. The hotel is incredible. It is older than alot of the resorts here, but it has character and the people that work there are the most friendly people on earth. They are located on Emerald beach, have a cute beach bar and a fantastic resturant. Teresa, the ladies at the front desk, the housekeeping staff and Michael Jr. are the best. Please take our advice and give this wonderful hidden treasure a try! Keith and Lee Ann Gates

Room Tip: they have alot of cute ones right on the beach.

Its close to the airport. Value hotel if you don't plan to stay inside the room. My mother and I stayed there at the time because all the hotels were super expensive and it was a one day trip. We took a ferry over to St John for the day. Inside the room wasn't impressive at all, the tv worked but only local channels. Bed wasn't bad.

This place is amazing. I go every 2 months to St Thomas and havent found a better spot. The beach is amazing...there is a bar and restaurant right on the beach where u can sit and eat in your bathing suit. What more can you ask for. The cooks are amazing, the staff is amazing...and the owners are awesome. Anything you need them to do, they jump on it. Even the landscapers/maintenance men are right there when you need them. The beds are extrememly comfortable and the rooms are a good 10 feet from the beach. They have the best cab driver on the island, Al, readily available. You would be crazy to stay any where else!!!!

If you're looking to go to St. Thomas the Island Beachcomber is the perfect place to stay. It's affordable, the beach is beautiful, never overcrowded, and the staff is excellent. You feel like you're at home in paradise.

Room Tip: There isn't a bad room in the house! But who goes to St. Thomas to hang out in thier hotel room...

The Beachcomber offers simple rooms, but it's wonderful to be right on the beach. Such a beautiful spot. My family and I had intended to explore more of St. Thomas the one night we were there, but we ended up just getting dinner and breakfast right at the hotel's restaurant/beach bar! The food was great, the people were friendly, and the views were just perfect.

We needed one night before heading to St John for a weeks vacation. The location seemed easy and was on the beach, did see some good reviews so booked it. If we hadn't paid 1/2 deposit in advance we would have left...price is not worth what you get. The interior of the rooms here were dirty and very dated. Sheets were yellowed, plastic curtains, shower floor was peeling and looked unsafe to use. We ordered a rollaway which ended up being a folding bed for a youth, low to floor, paper-thin mattress. Cats and litter boxes on the ground outside the rooms. We did take advantage of the onsite restaurant and bar since it was getting dark and didn't want to leave the area, both were acceptable. We walked the beach and sat outside the Emerald Beach Resort next door and had wished we were staying there. They need to put some $$ and work into this property.

We stayed at the Marriot and when we got to the airport they cancelled our flight. We were fortunate to get a room at the Beachcomber. This cute little quant Resort was very intimate, clean, very friendly and the food was great! Cute little bar near the water. It isn't the Marriot but for the price it was a nice place to stay and we would recommend it.
