Owner description: This 17th-century Danish fort houses a museum featuring a collection of Amerindian relics.

Fort Christian could easily be the number one attraction in Charlotte Amalie. It is perfectly situated downtown and is steeped in history. Sadly, the structure has been neglected for some time and is slowly turning into rubble. The grounds are strewn with garbage and the surrounding park has also been neglected.

Could be a good site but a stalled renovation is what is making this site a "walk right past" location. This needs turned into a museum or a shopping area.

sad that this old historic fort isn't opened to the public. Still=from the outside quite impressive. nice to walk around the structure to see from all sides. if your a fan of old forts-this is a must, even to view from the outside.

This place has been under poorly managed renovation for years. It isn't open to the public. A real shame.

I had really hoped to see the fort. It has great history. While you could walk right up to the door it was closed (looked to be permanently), there was trash everywhere, the paint was coming off, and it smelled like urine.

For something the island advertises as a tourist attraction... well I guess it looked nicer than some of the shacks you see around the island. Go somewhere else.
