We had a terrific dinner (and drinks!) at Rum Shandy in Frenchtown! Fish tacos are stellar, as was everything else on the menu we tried. Owners and staff are friendly and wonderful. Absolutely visit if you are on St. Thomas - a very welcome break from the restaurants in town that feel really touristy.

We had dinner at Rum Shandy on June 29th. George, the owner, greeted us upon arrival and sat us at a table. The atmosphere is fun and lively. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with a salad (dressing was tasty). We all thought that it was the best pulled pork that we have ever had! Our daughter had the chicken fingers with wonderful onion rings. I has the soft fish tacos which were delicious! George did tell us that the french fries were not homemade but everything else on the menu is homemade.

The service by both George and Colleen was very attentive and extremely friendly. We chatted with both of them throughout the meal It is one of the few places open on a Sunday night in Frenchtown. The prices are very reasonable and the food is amazing! The Shandy drinks are yummy as well...something different to try.

We will be vacationing in St. Thomas next year and will definitely go back to Rum Shandy for dinner!

Even tho they haven't been open but for a couple of months, this place has great food (fried pickle spears). Menu has more drink pages than food. and P.S. the server (great lady) is English not Aussie!! lol

We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a chance. All of the other places we went to on the island were actually pretty bad. This place was great for the price. The food was really good and the waitress was friendly. The food came out quickly. We were pleasantly impressed! I had the beef sandwich, It was really good. The lemonade was fresh squeezed. They also had a kids menu. Great job! We plan to go back before we go home.

Oh what a great evening of food! My wife and I joined a small group of friends for a menu tasting and it was fantastic.

Started off with the hand cut and dipped onion rings in a tempura batter served with a homemade remoulade sauce.

On to the fresh catch of the day battered and served in a romaine lettuce wrap with tomato, red onion, jalepeno, cilantro, line juice spicy aioli sauce.

I forgot to mention, everything is fresh. The shady's are all made with fresh squeezed fruit juices and the bread is sent in from the mainland to make perfect sandwiches!

The sweet Cruzan pork bbq sandwich was exceptional, slow roasted with fresh finder infused dark rum bbq sauce. Topped with the homemade slaw and the buns... You gotta try it to believe it!

Fried pickles? Well I tried them and okay they were delicious!

The Cuban sandwich was fantastic with the homemade citrus yellow mustard.

If you are planning a trip to st thomas make sure this is on the itinerary. If you live here like we do, make it a regular spot. Prices are the best on the island for the quality of food.

A regular addition to our weekly outings.

Thank you George and Colleen for a fantastic evening.
