“Great day & great value on New Horizons”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

In summary we had a great day on New Horizons.

We are 60-ish, married 41 years, visiting St Thomas off the Royal Princess. Cab fare to Sapphire Marina was $10pp each way.

However, we were first to board and got primo seats (mat on deck, but up front). I'm not so sure I would have enjoyed it as much if we were further back.

The boat WAS fairly crowded. I'm not sure how many guests were on board or how many the boat would accommodate. Again, because we were up front, it had less effect on our experience. I did not hear anyone complain about it and everyone seemed to have a good day.

It rained in St Thomas, but we had only a brief sprinkle! Weather was somewhat overcast much of the day. But sun was out and water was beautiful for our second snorkel stop. Many folks reported seeing a variety of fish and at least one turtle. I just swam as some others did. The water was beautiful.

Soda (and juice?) was served along with delicious blueberry bread and some other options upon boarding. After sailing, the beer cooler was made available. Crew prepared a couple frozen drinks, but both had coconut something in them and we just did not like them. But they were great about fixing me Cape Cods! Lunch was very tasty, but not quite what we expected. They served two large crock pots (?) with wonderful meatballs in marinara topped with mozzarella, along with an amazing green bean salad (green beans, feta, dill, creamy Italian dressing), a cold cut platter (ham, turkey, provolone, tomatoes), sliced Italian bread and some dessert-type platter that we did not try.

The sail boat gliding through the water was amazing and we loved that experience. At the first stop (I think), they put up the shade canopy which kept the main sail from opening. I'm a big shade fan, but was happy to be up front with our view, so just kept applying SPF 70. Given our weather, I would have preferred no canopy and using the big sail.

The crew was very pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this excursion with one note about seating & crowds. Even so, we had a really nice experience and felt it was an excellent value.

“Terrific time - sailing and snorkeling”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

Great day trip for those wanting everything taken care of for them, or who wants guidance snorkeling for the first time. We went to Honeymoon Beach and Christmas Bay. Lots of fish varieties and the water was beautiful. The crew was very conversational and helpful. The lunch was of surprising quality - everything tasted great. They also provided a variety of drinks including a couple of tropical rum concoctions. I would highly recommend. One note - be sure to bring your own towels as they are not provided, and the day may get a little long for smaller children. One couple had two along - they were a little scared at first by the way a sailing boat leans as it is catching the wind, and by mid-afternoon they clearly had had enough.

“Incredible day on the water”
Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

Went out for the day with Danny and Laura. They completely pampered everyone. A tasty lunch was served after our first stop on St John. Great snorkling on St John and Greater St James islands. Saw sting rays, barracudas, tons of fish and some sea turtles. Premium mixed drinks all day plus a stocked ice chest with beers and lots of non-alcoholic drinks. Family had a fantastic time with this company and crew.

“Nice Day Sail and Snorkel trip”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

We had a good time sailing with Capt Danny, and crew Robin and Chris. Raising the mainsail on a 65 footer and unfurling the jib was a beautiful sight to see once under sail. The crew took great care of everyone on board, Food was great. Saw turtles while snorkeling. A very pleasant day overall.

“Great Day of Sailing ~ Snorkeling & Swimming”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

What a great day of sailing, snorkeling & swimming. Our Captain Danny was very informative and the staff Robin & Chris treated us well. Our day started off with a continental breakfast. Once we arrived at our 1st destination Honeymoon Beach in St John the crew got everyone ready for our 1st snorkel. Some of us ladies stayed behind and were served yummy melon frozen drinks while we took a dip in the beautiful blue water while swimming with some aquatic life.

We were then served a delicious hot / cold lunch with an assortment of adult beverages and soft drinks. We then took sail to our second snorkeling location where some stayed aboard and took in the sun, sites & wonderful service.

This was one of our best days of the week while vacationing in St Thomas. We were a party of 8 and this accommodated all of us very well ~~ we actually met a family that we ended up meeting up with again later in the week.
