Owner description: This is an excellent, all inclusive day-sailing excursion to the National Park in St. John. This trip includes a premium open bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), Continental breakfast, two excellent snorkel and swim stops, a hot Italian gourmet lunch, and snorkel equipment & instructions (for the first-timer). Departure is from the Sapphire Marina at 10:00am and return via a very relaxing sail into the marina at 4:00pm.

We went to St. Thomas for our honeymoon in November 2013. We wanted to do some excursions during our stay, so we signed up for New Horizons II speed boat tour of Virgin Gorda (The Baths), Snorkeling at Diamond Reef, Lunch at Pussers and then over to Jost Van Dyke for fun at Soggy Dollar bar. The trip was great! Our crew was Rob & Mike and they were just amazing. Conversation was natural, they immediately felt like good friends, they knew their stuff about boating and the islands, and they were a blast to be with all day. Also, Rob’s iPod played the music on the boat – and I couldn’t of been happier about the music selection.

The benefit of this trip was getting to see so many great things in the British Virgin Islands (and having a great captain and first mate.)

The con to this trip is that lunch is not included, and the crew was responsible and didn’t really start serving the drinks until after snorkeling is done. When we added up the cost of their trip + customs fee ($40 per person) + taxi to get to & from the port + lunch + dinner + tips + drinks at Soggy Dollar it really added up to an expensive day. However, it was such a blast, and we did so much that it was definitely worth it. I’d recommend this trip for a fun time!

Be sure and read the review by Cindy_Lou, she describes the trip to the BVI aboard the Breakaway II in excellent detail. The Baths are beautiful, and I'm glad I went. Pusser's restaurant and Marina Key were lovely, and the mate, Matt and the captain did a fine job. I also think it was probably more comfortable than the similar Bad Kitty excursion, from comparing notes with some fellow travelers. The only reason I gave this trip 4 stars is, although I may be comparing apples to oranges, the snorkel trip on Spirit of St Christopher was a much better value. This trip was $150 per person, plus $40 in customs fees (Not the operators fault, of course!) We had to buy our lunch and pay for a taxi to the marina. They didn't warn us before the trip to wear good shoes for climbing on rocks. They did give us some cake and fruit and boiled shrimp, and plenty of yummy painkillers, and said that the hammocks on Jost Van Dyke were for our use. It was a lovely trip, but if your excursion dollars are limited, there may be better options.

Went on a cruise to BVI with a group as part of a friends wedding. We had a great time. Capt Rob and Mike were awesome and made the trip a lot of fun! Did the Baths on Gorda, lunch at Pussers and Painkillers at the Soggy Dollar. It was great time!

We had a great time on this event. We went as a group of 8 with family and friends. We had a blast.

Captain Mark and crewman John were fabulous. They were knowledgable, really attentive, and a lot of fun.

We lucked out having a smaller group. There was only one other couple on the boat with us.

For $75 per person, we got a fantastic boat ride, good food, drinks, gear, and a lot of great pictures.

We would highly recommend this event!

Captain Mark and John were the best! Such a value for a full day of sailing, snorkeling, food and drinks!! (Open bar people!!). Can't stress the food enough, pasta salad, meatballs, cold cuts desert...delicious! The sails are never overbooked, plenty of room to enjoy the ship and the company of your fellow passengers. A+!
