We had a wonderful time at Sand Dollar. There were 15 of us and we are already talking about going there again. We did not eat out, but took turns cooking and had Shelly (their chef) fix meals two of the seven nights we were there. Bob, the caretaker, was very friendly, helpful and took care of problems right away. He is a very interesting person to talk with and get an island perspective on various events. The private beach was so nice we hated to go anywhere else, although we did go to Magen's Bay beach once. We also chartered a speed boat and went to the Baths on Virgin Gorda, lunch at Coopers Island and snorkling at Norman Island by the caves (this was the best place to snorkle of any on our trip). We also took a sailboat/snorkel trip that went to St. John area and two islands nearby. Dinner, one night, was supplied by three of the adults and the three nine-year-olds on a fishing charter. Other than those trips we stayed home. We loved it there!!!

The Sanddollar Estate is a nice house on a beautiful private beach. It definitely is well used, and rented out a lot. The housekeeping could use a bit of improvement, I like to go to houses that the dishes are put away nice and neatly, and they need to be clean - not put away with dried food still on them. The house did accomodate a large group, but I found the linens on the bed to be a little sub-par for a luxurty home. We have rented houses all over the world, and this house was just OK. Some of the staff at the house were very friendly and some were unacceptably rude. We found the people of St. Thomas to be rude to tourists in general. You would think when their primary economy is tourism that the people would be nice to the tourist??? If the staff at the house would just punch out a few items a little better, it would definitely go a long way. Our bathroom toilet paper holder was broken all week, some things remained dirty all week...it might have been because it was a holiday, I don't know, but it was not as great as it could have been. St. Thomas has great snorkeling, but traveling to the BVI is a real pain in the butt, and I do not reccommend it at all. The paperwork and customs just to go from island to island is horrible. I think the communications with the staff could have been better all around.

What a fantastic time in magical setting - the beach, the house, the weather.........All 14 of us (3 families) had a vacation for the memory books - great stories, laughter on the deck at night, perfect weather in a beautiful setting with new friends like Walter and Bob. Throw in the sea turtles, iguanas, humming birds, and comfy furniture that made Sand Dollar feel like home. Definitely recommend to anyone with children or looking for property to share with several families.

We had a great time in the Virgin Islands wuth 6 other couples. We enjoyed St. Thomas a lot. We rented a beautiful house that had a lot of room for all 14 at the Sand Dollar Estate. The home was in perfect condition with all appliances, bath towels and every accomodation you would need to have a comortable time in St, Thomas. The view of Meghans Bay from the Sand Dollar Estate is breath taking. The water is a windex blue from looking down from the home. I would recommend anyone traveling in a large group to consider staying at the Sand dollar Estate.

Stayed at Sand Dollar estate in Magens Bay St Thomas VI. What a beautiful home, and the views of Magens Bay are out of this world. The beach and water is so clean and warm, we were swimming at night. It was so comfortable. The only problem was no access to town with the exception of a taxi, but get the right taxi driver, give him an hours notice, and he will be at the gate waiting to take you anywhere on the Island. The food in Red Hook bay was great at Duffys. Iggys beach bar was great for all you can eat Crab legs. Bella Blu in Frenchtown, was excellent. The best snorkeling in Christmas bay, with Capt. Dan on the Coconut, out of the Wyndum Resort. People were very friendly, with the exception of a few taxi drivers. Would go back in a heart beat.

We have just returned from 5 days at the Sand Dollar Estate in St. Thomas. The house is magnificent and we have never experienced such a great location and beautiful beach in Magen's Bay. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the beach to go to the towns, or even shopping.

The pool is nice, not as big as we thought, but we were in the ocean so much it did not even matter. We had 14 adults who stayed here and there was not a bad room, all had an ocean view rooms. The little sand dollar even had its own private beach entrance.

The kitchen could have been bigger, cooking for 14 people a 6 burner stove would have got our meals done a little quicker.
The outside refridgerator was large enough but did not keep beers cold enough. (Only went to 55 degrees)

We always go somewhere different each year, but after staying at the SandDollar estate, we definately would come back to stay here, and would love to bring our children, just to enjoy the beautiful ocean and sandy beach. The sea life was unvelievable, and just a short walk down our (62) stairs each morning! We snorkeled each day and got to watch starfish and fish and corals.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION...the very perfect spot for a wonderful, tranquil vacation! We definately will recommend SandDollarEstate.com in St. Thomas!
