“Good location, nice beach and good value”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

Stayed here for five days and it was great. The location is good on the south of the island but you will need a rental car to get around.

The units are logically laid out with nice amenities like micro, coffee maker, toaster and even a blender. The terrace was nice and the rooms pretty quiet. They don't provide daily service but that wasn't a problem for us. Gave us permission to leave the place a bit more customized (ie: messy).

The pool was nice and well kept and the beach right there; easily accessible. The bar was rather inconsistent in terms of drink quality and rule enforcement. The female bartender was better at keeping things under control; the guy let people smoke everywhere including in the pool (ashes in the water- yuck) and prepped all the food without gloves. They offer Panini sandwiches and hot dogs which were very good. You could run a bar tab for the week. Looks like there used to be a restaurant on the property but it was shut during our stay here in April 2014.

We didn't rent a car right away but did starting our second day. The villas have a cozy relationship with 'Mr Nice Guy' cab service and we found his pricing steep and a bit random.

Overall, a good stay and a good value. Not super deluxe but neither were the prices.

Just returned from a short stay here. This was our 2nd stay and we would surely return. Well maintained grounds with recent room renovations, private beach area, pool and swim-up pool bar, dive center for half and full-day water adventures. You can snorkel right from the beach as well.

Low key and quite relaxing place to vacation.

Downside has been that there's no restaurant on-site, yet there are active plans to change this. However, there is a gift shop / supplies store right on site which can service basic food needs.

All personnel associated with the resort were very frinedly and informative.

As Wyndham Owners, we're looking forward to continued investment and improvements at this resort.

My boyfriend and I stayed at BBC last week and had the most amazing time!!! Rooms were clean and comfortable! Has a kitchenette so we did go shopping for breakfast snack things and then ate out for dinner. We would recommend renting a car, you can get around very well. Especially because BBC does not have an on site restaurant. If you pay taxi fees everywhere you go you will find it cheaper to rent a car. You do drive on left and roads are hilly and steep but my boyfriend did excellent and said wasn't bad at all! Great view, great bar, great bartenders and excellent breakfasts too! Do not waste your time at the activities "get together" better spent on the beach for the hour you sit there. If you can do some research you will be able to plan your own excursions. Get out and do things before you leave the island!! We didn't have water one day and called the front desk Ruth answered said she would call maintenance and call back, not five minutes later called back issue taken care of!! The beach was amazing, the balconies where great! we lost track of time and erased all our daily life issues and just relaxed!!

Room Tip: We were in building D but all the buildings have a great view!

If you are looking to just relax this is a place to consider. A small resort with about 80 units arcs around a lovely little beach that is just steps away. The units are more than adequate but not luxurious, each has a private terrace with water view which was great for morning coffee. There are full kitchens should you choose to prepare any snacks or meals. A/C was a little noisy in the sleeping area. Food shopping is best done at the Food Center in the East End if you want familiar US brands. Everything has to be shipped in so be prepared for higher prices than you might expect. There are a few amenities on the property, a very nice pool with swim up bar that also serves basic breakfast and lunch items, small shop for gifts and some necessities, bbq pits, some water sports rentals and small exercise facility. Given small size these were never crowded and more than adequate. The activity director was high energy and will be very helpful in planning anything else you want. There is not a traditional sit down restaurant ( it is planned in future) so a car is a must, otherwise you will taxi everywhere. It is nicely situated between Charlotte Amalie and the East End each is about 15 minutes by car. Bring a few books and your sunscreen kick back and enjoy.

Room Tip: All units are accessed by stairs. The first floor units are closest to beach and pool. Parking is b...

We waited too long and are hoping we can get a couple of rooms this summer. My husband and I have come every year and we love it here. We brought the grandchildren last year and had so much fun. We really hope some who is not able to go this year will post their rooms for rent. Or contact us!

If you want a beautiful quiet beach this is for you. The activity director is a hoot and will bend over backwards for you as well as Mr. Nice Guy, the man you call when you need to get from point a to point b. The pool is amazing and the food and drinks at the pool bar were good. We were shocked at the price of two omelets, a cup of coffee and two momosas, $72.00 WOW! We were told it was because we ordered two meat lovers omelets with veggies on top. So they considered that 2 omelets each, (two meat lovers and two veggie) for a total of 4 omelets - that means they must have charged us about $13.00 or $14.00 an omelets. So buyer beware on the prices. We did tell the staff we were shocked by this but nobody seemed to care. We were suppose to have two condos booked from our time share as we had a couple of friends joining us the day after our arrival. I had the confirmation numbers and documentation from our Resort Company. Blue Beard Beach Club said "no they didn't have two rooms booked or available, only one." I questioned how this could happen as our friends were about to board a plane and join us, and the employee at the front desk said it was not there problem and we needed to contact our Resort company. Our friend ending up staying at another resort. It put a real damper on things. I did call our Resort Company after returning back to the states and they checked into it. The Resort Company did make the reservations, but Blue Beards dropped the ball and only reserved one of the two rooms. So, please call them before you visit to verify they are not inept in this area. The resort is safe. We did have a good time overall. The rooms are not the cleanest. The floors were sandy when we entered the condo. We did need to ask for more towels as they don't provide many. All that being said, we will go back but will make certain we talk to the manager to verify our reservations and we will stop at a grocery store on the way there. The Wyndham lost an opportunity on this one as our friends bought a time share there. We normally bring friends with us on vacation and 8 our the last 10 times our friends have purchased timeshares. The staff needs to know the Wyndham lost huge dollars because an employee did not follow through with a booking.

Stayed at the resort the first week of February. Weather was perfect and are we glad we rented a car. Resort is isolated and if you want to explore, taxi cost would be expensive. Restaurant is under renovation and looks like months away from completion. Being on a time share exchange, the biggest surprise was a $11.00/per person/per day energy charge. Time share owners of this property do not pay this energy fee. Isn't that a double charge to guests? Beach is not a walking beach. Internet service is a pay on a weekly or daily fee. Go to Iggy's, Mim's, Secret Harbor, or into town for free wi-fi. If you are planning on cooking some meals at the facility, shopping for grocerys on your way it. Grocery stores are not convenient. Been on many time share exchanges in the past twenty years and would not stay here again. Beach towel service is refreshed each day from off property. Two days towels were delayed in arriving. If you are going to Magen Bay for the day, get your clean towels early.
