“Fantastic resort and location”
Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

We just got back from staying at the Bluebeard beach club. We thoroughly enjoyed the week there. Check in was great. Since my sister was traveling with me, I requested our units close and they were very happy to accommodate us. The units had just been remodeled and were very nice and clean. We had just steps to the beach. The snorkeling off the beach was good if you went towards the rocks. The pool area had been updated and looked great. The only restaurant was the pool bar with a limited menu. They were very friendly. The grounds were very well taken care off. We had a car so we went to Pueblo grocery store for snacks and breakfast items and out for dinner.
The main thing I can say about the place is the employees were very friendly, the location was great with awesome ocean views, the beach was nice and secluded, and I would definitely go back.

This is a very nice spot if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of life. The beach is fantastic and very quiet and the newly redone pool area is fantastic. Ok, there is no restaurant, but the pool bar serves food a couple of times a week at dinner, and does a limited breakfast and lunch. you also have a small kitchenette in your rooms to do some cooking. And yes, you should have a car to get around the island, because taxis can add up costwise, though they are readily available everywhere. They are currently renovating units, but our unrenovated room was very nice with a beautiful view of the bay. The resort needs some TLC, which Wyndham is working on, but for what I was looking for, it was perfect.

This was a time share exchange and was a week they could have kept. The room was just ok and was never cleaned for the week after I arrived. There was no restaurant and it was about $25.00 round trip taxi ride to eat. I definately would not reccomend.

Had a great time at Bluebeards Beach Resort. aside from our check in error as they gave us keys to a room which had not even been cleaned. They sent us new keys to a different room which was still being cleaned. The staff was very helpful though and took our luggage and put it into the room while we waited for the room to be finished. Aside from above everything else was awsome. Victoria was WONDERFUL with any questions we had. this was our first visit to St Thomas. The Beach is just Beautiful and the view from above is unbelievable.

Last year we went o Virgin island in September... the place was ok, same people who works there was nice but the "travelling expenditures" in the Island was TOO MUCH. We did not rent a car, thinking we could use public transportation and it was just impossible. The only way of transportation was by taxi... just one taxi cab was nice, the rest were sometime rude, especially one driver that was always in this hotel. They also charged a lot of money, each trip cost $10 per person, so if you want to leave the hotel- you have to because the beach of the hotel is not nice- it could cost you and your partner $40 per trip, if you leave 2 times per day... it is wat too much expensive than to rent a car. The hotel did not have too much information and was almost empty during September. Beside that, the beaches are INCREDIBLE.

There was no restaurants except the pool bar to eat. Had a burnt omelet and decided not to eat there again. Cooked in my room as it was about $30.00 for a 10 min. taxi ride to go any where. The resort had the most beautiful beach , but the best part was the Aqua marine dive hut. They made our vacation amazing!! Was going to go for a snorkel but was convinced that my 12 year old and myself, 52 years old could get our padi scuba certifications. Anna and Wolfgang, the owner's,drove us to the marina and took us out on their boat for 2 dives. We saw the most exotic, beautiful sealife. Will go back just to dive again .

We were skeptical after reading some of these horrific reviews. We stood in bldg E and when we walked in the room ,it was clean, roomy and everything was in order...NO BUGS OR INFESTATION at all. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful,Beach is Beautiful and relaxing, the pool is brand new.Everyone was friendly and we had not 1 problem,We stood in a 1 bedroom, the bed was king size and when we asked for more pillows and a blanket they came within 15 minutes. The room was well stocked and I hear they are doing them over in August(bldgs a&b are done) , but to us it was clean and GO & HAVE A GREAT TIME ON THE ISLAND....I suggest Coki Beach and Magens bay.....Islanders for the most part are great.like anywhere else...Just remember your in the Carribean.
