“A Local Beach”

A nice place to spend the day away from tourists. They only down side is that it is near the airport so you get to listen to the planes unless you like watching and listening to airplanes.

near the airport, water was very nice, quiet beach, a place where the locals hang out. No lifeguard when we were there.

“Beautiful, Quiet, Local and Delicious.”
Reviewed January 19, 2012

Brewer's is a beautiful beach on the west side of the University of the Virgin Islands just past the airport. It's pretty quiet throughout the week and nice n' social on Sundays. It's pretty much a local beach, not a lot of tourists, which is really nice for days when you want to avoid crowds. My favorite thing about this beach besides the always stunning view, are the food carts. The one thats parked the furthest west along the road in front of the beach has the most delicious Pate's (a local deep fried stuffed patty) our favorite being the veggie! Its awesome how delicious these cheap snacks are, I crave them every time I drive past. Oh, and the snorkling is actually quite good here if you swim out a bit. This is where I went snorkling for the first time. Its not very clear after the rain but great otherwise. Sometimes you'll see turtles in this area although the last big hurricane tore out most of the sea grass and has reduced the turtle numbers by a lot.

“The locals beach”
Reviewed November 19, 2011

If you are looking for a totally uncrowded beach during the week, this is the one. Soft clean sand, turquoise waters and safe swimming. Not for snorkelling. Sundays is busy with the locals.

“Wonderful and quiet beach”
Reviewed November 5, 2009

My husband and I went to Brewer's Bay for the first time a week ago and loved it. Just a few locals swimming and walking the beach. Felt very relaxed and safe. Port-a-pots and a local vender selling food out of his turck, smelled and tasted extremely good. Beach was soft, full of shells and sea glass. Coral rocks about 30 feet out, and seen lots of sea turtles swimming around. Ok, so I got scared and quit swimming after this. Peace and quiet on this beach. Would be the perfect spot to bring a picnic lunch, we had a cooler of drinks with us. Will surely come back and visit this beach.
