“A new find (at least for us!)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

We received a gift certificate for the Cellar from a family member prior to our trip -- in all our visits to St. Thomas, we'd never tried it before. We're glad we did this time! Extensive selection of wines and very eclectic menu items --

“Excellent dinner AND exceptional service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

The Cellar was a delightful surprise. Our server offered to split the wedge salad for us. We selected the beef Wellington and the porcini dusted mahi Maui. All were delicious and well prepared. We don't often have desert but we thoroughly enjoyed the rich chocolate cake and the unusual key lime cake. The service was excellent: great suggestions, dishes that appeared and disappeared at just the right time. We appreciated the sincere "Thank you for coming." This is a very well run restaurant with a great menu.

“Island Sophistication”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

Great place to sit for tapas, wine and distilled spirits, and desserts. Nice decor, you forget you're on a tropical island until you step back outside. This is a great place to talk business, unwind after, or take a date.

“Big mistake”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

I did extensive research before going to St Thomas and was excited to try this restaurant. It has great ambiance, and that is the only good thing I can say about it. I had the beef wellington which was soggy and disgusting. My husband had some kind of fish which was passable, and they didn't even have any tea. The service was slow, and there were only a couple of tables occupied. It cost a fortune. What a waste of money...A huge disappointment!

“Best Food in St. Thomas!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

The Cellar has become one of my most favorite restaurants. We had the most wonderful waitress who had only been there for a week but seemed as if she had been there much longer, She knew the menu and was able to make great recommendations. We started with an appetizer called Mozzarella "Menage a Trois" which was so excellent that my mouth still waters at the thought of it. We then had the Caesar Salad which was so fresh and crisp with the most amazing Caesar dressing I have had. For the entree we both opted for the Cayenne Espresso filet mignon with fingerling potatoes, roasted walnuts, Gorgonzola cheese and a red wine Demi Glace. To say this meal was extraordinary would be an understatement and this chef should definitely be in the running for the James Beard award just based on this meal alone! The portion sizes were perfect and the meat just melted in your mouth! Then we were treated to the most delectable and decadent desserts! This restaurant by far is the best for a nice sit down dinner. The ambiance was delightful with beautiful leather seating which offered a certain level of privacy.
