Iggys located in Bolongo Bay in St. Thomas, USVI is a nice location for dinner, lunch and the outdoor beach atmosphere. This restaurant is right on the beach. You can go swimming, tanning, and do water activities and then walk a few feet over and grab lunch or a snack. The prices are average - not high in my opinion.
One thing I like the most is that Iggys is a place that welcomes tourist and locals alike in a warm, inviting but relaxed atmosphere. This is a "come as you are type of place," let it be in flip flops and swimsuit or nicer clothes. The decor reminds me of ships and pirates - but its cool. The service is quick and the food is good - casual with some good choices in fish, sandwiches, and exotic drinks (see menu on website). The wait staff is friendly and this place is the same as I remember it from 15+ years ago when I was living in St. Thomas. I recently went here with an old friend and met other people I knew here too, so there is something familiar about this place. This is great at night and during the day. They sometimes have music out here and there are events (sorry don't know what dates), but there is ample parking and lots of places to sit and visit. Ensure you still lock your doors if driving, as the parking lot is close but out of plain view. See website, www.iggysbeachbar.com with phone number 340-693-2600. If you want to know about specials and any events happening, just give them a call in advance.
They also normally have drink and food specials too so if you are wanting to try something new, just ask about the specials. This place is great for families and couples, and pretty much anyone. So, that is a huge plus. Every time I go, I usually try new items on the menu.
If you are not local or don't have a car, you will need a taxi, as Iggys is located up the hill (in Bolongo) from Havensight heading to the "country side" on the East End of St. Thomas. This is off the normal "safari" route (~$2 per person) From Havensight, the ride is probably 15 minutes or so. If you need a taxi back, then ask the wait staff to help you get a taxi back. Just remember, cost on a taxi is per person and to the destination, not by meter. I don't know what the taxi guys will charge, as it depends on where you are coming from. Remember, you can also negotiate a little with the Taxi driver. Ensure you have enough change, because not all taxis will have the right change. If you are visiting, I would recommend a car (jeep preferred due to the terrain) to give you freedom of adventure and finding Iggys is relatively easy. Also, many U.S. GPS' now have maps of St. Thomas, USVI, so you can find Iggys on here. Just check your GPS first before you haul it with you on vacation. Enjoy!
