“Great Breakfast”

We went to Glady's on a recommendation and man were they right. Hot sauces are their specialty and all I can say is to get something that you can sample the hot sauces with. We did not meet Gladys as she was busy in the kitchen. However just ask and I hear she may be singing! It is rather difficult to find as it is down one of the cobblestone alley ways off of main street. Just ask someone and they will direct you.

“Just all right”
Reviewed March 15, 2014

We were highly recommended because we wanted to try another breakfast place, but it was just ok, we both preferred a place in frenchtown called frenchtowns cafe. The waitress here was not rude but not friendly. Just brought our food and that was it, the food was average.

Whenever we visit St Thomas Gladys' Cafe is a must stop. Food is really good, employees are friendly and if your lucky Gladys will be singing.

“Great local food and Gladys really does sing!”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

Gladys' Cafe is tucked down a quiet lane which is very easily skipped by. The dining rooms are spacious and quite comfortable and nicely air conditioned. The menu is extensive and contains a wide variety of selections to satisfy almost all tastes. Your best bet is to skip the usual "tourist" dishes such as burgers and sandwiches and go right for the local specialties. The conch fritters are an excellent way to start your meal and you can't go wrong with any of the jerk chicken entrees or the stews listed on the back page. Wash it all down with a cold beer!

And there really is a Gladys. You'll see her working behind the bar and don't be surprised when she breaks out in song.
