“what a delight.”
Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

this place is nestled in the middle of an alleyway in downtown Charlotte amalia. If you go to downtown Charlotte amalia for shopping, then this is where you want to have lunch. The authenticity of the island food is fantastic. We were fortunate enough to meet Gladys herself, and thoroughly enjoyed her hospitality. Thanks Gladys, we will be back.

“Great vibe”
Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

Service was family-friendly and breakfast was just right. Fresh eggs and fun hot sauces to test. Ambience is unique and, if you find yourself in the right mood, the Bloody Mary is not to be missed.

“slightly disappointed”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We went here based on many recommendations. Perhaps it's better at lunch, because breakfast was just ok. Not bad - just not worthy of the praise we had heard. Had an omelet which was very good (including some of her awesome hot sauce - a little goes a long way btw). My wife and our friends had eggs, hasbrowns and toast and it was nothing more spectacular than we would get at a family restaurant at home.

“Good Breakfast!”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

Nice breakfast (and Blood Marys!). My friend and I have eaten here twice and if we ever find ourselves in St. Thomas again, we will do so again. Gladys is usually in-house and makes and bottles her own (several types) of hot sauce which we sampled on our eggs and then, of course, had to purchase to bring home. After, since it's in the heart of the shopping district, we try to walk some of it off!

“Don't miss Gladys' Cafe in St.Thomas”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

The menu choices of local cuisine were outstanding, and tasted as good as their descriptions.
Many intriguing drink offerings were available and sampled by family members. The décor, artwork, Carribean ambiance and great service were also enjoyed by all. Don't miss the opportunity to check this great place out, especially if you like to try food typical of the region.
