We enjoyed a great lunch at Gladys' Café. Great authentic Caribbean food, great service, nice atmosphere. Prices are spot on. Don't miss an opportunity to eat here when in St. Thomas

“Hidden Gem in Tourist Central”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We asked one of the saleswomen at the open air market where to go for lunch and she pointed us to Gladys'. Really enjoyed the chicken roti. Nice to eat someplace with a more local feel. Our lunch was so filling, I was just barely hungry for my dinner. Very good.

“Authentic Caribbean Food”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

If you're in St. Thomas, don't go for a burger or a wrap... Stop in at Gladys' for an authentic taste of the Caribbean. Try the curried goat, which is absolutely delicious and sample their house-made hot sauces. They also have plenty of less adventurous items, such as hot wings, fried chicken and burgers. The staff is great, the place is clean and it's convenient to all the touristy shopping. Perfect for cruise passengers who are sick of the same ole, same ole you find on the boats.

“Average food and very slow service”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We had breakfast at Gladys' on a Wednesday morning on our way to the airport. They were not busy at all when we came in, and never really were the whole time we were there. The food was ok - its eggs so what can anyone do to them. The waitress was quick enough to take our order but it took almost an hour to get our breakfast. That is slow even by Caribbean standards.

“great food, a hidden treasure”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

Tucked away from tourist view in the Royal Dane Mall, Gladys Cafe offers delicious food in a old world atmosphere. I enjoyed the Jerk Mahi Mahi sandwich. Gladys hot sauce is the bomb. If you eat at Wendy's, instead, you missed the good stuff.
