This is a family favorite whenever we come home to visit. Gladys and her family, including the lovely singing Pauline, exemplify what hospitality and island food is all about. We always have to have at least one breakfast and lunch there during each visit! The food is consistent and delicious and the service is always friendly.

We heard the hype and decided to go so we could enjoy some island flavors and dishes. Boy were we disappointed. First of all, our server was very sharp with us from the moment we sat down, and after the food arrived he was all but invisible.. second, we ordered one of the daily specials, Stewed Chicken and vegetables, and it came out barely warm.. we sent it back to be warmed up and when it came back, everything had been nuked yet the stewed chicken was lukewarm.. also, the flavor of the dish was gamey and strong.. lastly, and worst of all, is that while we were sitting there eating, a mouse, yes a mouse, scurried out from a neighboring table and made its way through to the next dining area.. when I brought it to our server's attention, he simply said, " we'll bring in our cat later" and blew me off.. and they didn't offer to compensate us perhaps with a free drink or something.. which I thought was definitely not a good way to establish rapport with your clientele.. but hey, I don't have to go back, and I definitely won't.
