As you read from other reviews, this place is a bit north of Frederiksted on what can most charitably be described as a character-building drive dodging major potholes. If you can get past that (literally and figuratively), and are looking for a low-key place where you can relax, this place is heaven.
We stayed in Leah's Leap --spacious, clean and bright (although never hot). Perfect for families -- full kitchen, lots of space to stretch out, with geckos to find and a few cats to chase. Sip some rum on the terrace at sunset, gaze up at the star-filled sky and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the jungle and a cool breeze from the ocean. Ginger even gave my kids a tour of the property and showed them how to pick papayas. It's a short walk from tidal pools and great snorkeling (although not an easy walk if your kids are small). I recommend renting a sturdy car, bringing a flashlight and bug spray and arriving before dark the first time you go there.More
