We visited Cottages in April 2018. This was the third time we've stayed at Cottages, and our first trip back since 2012. We stayed in our favorite cottage, Crows Nest, which had been remodeled since our last visit. The remodel was nice, but not that important to us - we go there for the location and the privacy of Crows Nest. The rooms are still very clean thanks to Carmen and Ellie, and the property is very low key and quiet. We love that we can cook our own meals, thanks to a full kitchen and on-site gas grills - that way we get to eat what we want, when we want, with an amazing sea view and no need to get dressed up. This year we didn't venture out - we've done the sightseeing before, and we were happy just hanging out on the beach and snorkeling. We had heard that the beach had lost sand during the hurricane, but when we were there, you couldn't tell. The snorkeling was definitely different than it was 6 years ago - some may be from the hurricane shifting sands, and some from six more years of whatever... But what remained the same was a great variety of fish and ease of snorkeling steps from your cottage. We saw lots of fish (including a porcupine fish - which was a first for us), turtles, and rays and even saw an eel one day! We love Cottages, and we wondered why we stayed away so long! We will definitely return and we recommend to anyone interested in a low key, quiet beach holiday.
