A wonderful find in Frederiksted They have something for everyone. Candles, napkins, really cute cards for all occasions. Unique pillows with starfish and different designs on the front. They even have a pet section with fun collars, leads and dishes! This is a store worth taking the time to seek out and explore. Every inch of the store is fascinating. When we were there it was Christmas time and we have never seen a more beautiful Christmas display. Take the time to say "Hi" to Steven the owner - super friendly guy.

Lots of vendors set up to browse and talk . Found some nice things big range. Found someone selling the Sonya hook bracelets which are nice- they are sized and let you exchange them when wrist size changes

I've dove the pier several times. It takes more than one trip to see it all, that's fer sure.

On the south side are some old pilings worth the swim out to... beautiful, HUGE, Angelfish out there. If you go along the pier far enough you'll see more and more. Eels, batfish, scorpionfish, seahorses (if you're patient enough to look close), and more and more.

I've seen spotted eagle rays there!

Unfortunately there's lionfish in the Caribbean and we have them now too, but we try to keep them culled out before they reduce our native fishes.

Except for the occasional cruise ship day, it's open to the public. Take a stroll on the pier, snorkel around it, or, like me, do a SCUBA dive (or two or...)... 8^)

The F'std pier is a good snorkel ... when the visibility is good you see the same sea life as scuba. There are not any guided snorkel services for the pier. You have to go on your own. I beached in front of Polly's coffee house and swam out ... you will be in a navigable waterway. Wear bright colors and be aware of boats and jets. The first section of the pier is alive and well ... turtles, eels, coral ... just beautiful. The end of the pier where the cruise ships dock is pretty much dead ... there is nothing growing. On the return swim there is a navigational buoy that is obviously seldom visited ... untouched and thriving. Be careful and enjoy. This snorkel swim is not recommended for novice snorkelers with rented gear. I've visited St Croix for 5 consecutive years and never do the pier when vessels are docked.

Maybe we were just here at the wrong time, but we didn't even spend an hour here. Most businesses were closed, the town felt desolate and dirty. We went back to Christensted and never looked back.
